Overview

The Facilities Maintenance Technician is responsible for performing routine building maintenance tasks. Performance of building maintenance tasks in one or more fields (e.g. carpentry, electrical, heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC), plumbing, etc.). Performs general cleaning and other tasks as assigned. This is a full-time, nonexempt hourly position, reporting to the Facilities Manager.

Responsibilities Paint, remodel, refurbish areas as neededRepair, maintain/monitor all equipment and amenitiesClean windows and glass doorsChange of all filters for HVAC as requiredRemove and properly dispose of all recyclable materialsChange light bulbs, interior and exterior, as neededMake ready all office spaceOversee service that provides trash removal and cleaning of officesMaintain exterior propertyPerforms other work related duties as assignedMust be able to work flexible hours Required 1-2 years of working experience in facilities maintenanceBasic understanding of electrical, plumbing, and carpentryAbility to work with minimal supervisionMust demonstrate strong communication and interpersonal skills; customer service orientedMust be organized, detail oriented, self-motivated, and able to multi-task Desired Ability to push/lift 75 poundsAbility to climb laddersBending at waist, sitting, kneeling, climbing, walking, crouching as job may requireWorking in high noise levels requiring hearing protectionWorking around lubricants, solvents, batteries, cleaning fluids, paints

 

Compensation at Joby is a combination of base pay and Restricted Stock Units (RSUs). The target base pay for this position is $30-$34/hr. The compensation package will be determined by job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
