We’re hiring Facilities Maintenance Technician III to Live. Work. Explore. this summer! Job Summary: Keeps premises of concession building, Dormitory, or other assigned buildings in clean and orderly condition. The Details: Position Type: Seasonal Season Dates: Starting early/mid-May 2025 and ending last September/early October 2025 Pay: $15.80 per hour Schedule: Typical schedule is 40 hours, 5 days per week (may include weekends, evenings, and holidays) Why Mount Rushmore National Memorial? Assist on various work orders that include, but are not limited to: Interior and exterior painting Unclogging drains and troubleshooting other plumbing issues Replacing air filters and conducting routine inspections of hvac related systems Changing lightbulbs Trouble shooting vacuums and repair if necessary Hang items on the wall Patch holes on the walls Complete caulking projects Notify Maintenance Manager of need for larger repairs or service or if it relates to electrical and hvac. Assist with various setup and tear down, which includes moving tables, chairs, etc. During the peak season would assist with power washing outdoor assigned areas. During the off season would assist with snow and ice removal from walkways and parking areas. During the off season may be assigned to clean the public spaces, including restrooms, patio and dining room. Restock various bathroom supplies and notify manager when reorder may be needed. Empty wastebaskets and transport trash and waste to disposal area. Transport tools and other items from storage to different departments. Assist with fleet vehicle maintenance. Follow Company and departmental environmental and safety practices, policies, and procedures. Other duties as assigned. Qualifications At least 2 years previous building maintenance or handyman experience. Must have a valid driver’s license and clean driving record in the last 3 years. Ability to trouble shoot small mechanical items, such vacuum, and think critically. Ability to unclog drains and toilets. Must have attention to the details. Willing to “pitch-in” and help the team with tasks. Must be a positive team player with flexible schedules who like to have fun and have the passion to work. Physical Requirements include: Constantly walking and standing. Frequently handling, reaching outward, reaching above shoulder, climbing, crawling, squatting/kneeling, bending, lifting/carrying up to 50 pounds, and pushing/pulling up to 40 pounds. Occasionally sitting, lifting/carrying over 50 pounds and pushing/pulling 41-100 pounds. We are an Equal Opportunity Employer.
