Job Summary:

Responsible for assisting HVAC Field Technicians in the installation and repair of environmental control systems, utilizing knowledge of refrigeration theory, boilers, control systems, pipe fitting, and structural layouts.  Typically requires an Associate's degree (A. A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school with a certificate in Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning and 5 plus years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

 
Responsibilities:  Assists in servicing products and equipment on assigned projects and ensuring customer satisfaction. Uses a variety of hand tools and power tools, following blueprints or engineering specifications, to mount, assemble, and repair units. Ability to use computers and handheld devices. Schedule and communication with site contacts for work to be performed. Working with dispatch on manpower needs. Identifies, analyzes, and repairs equipment, instruments and products at a customer's location. Performs preventive maintenance, site surveys, installations, and modifications as needed or requested by customers. Maintains stock of inventory, company equipment, and documents all service-related activities (including report writing). Provides re-training and follow-up training at customer site. Has extensive experience and knowledge on boilers (license requirements) Determines parts to order for repairs and timeliness of need. Schedules and has vehicle maintenance performed per schedule. Assist with after-hours calls as needed.   Flexibility to work overtime/weekends, as required.

Qualifications:

Associate's degree (A. A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school with a certificate in Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning; or 5 plus years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Valid driver's license Boiler Operator License EPA approved Universal Technician Certification (preferred)
