Job Summary:
The Facilities Manager is responsible for the maintenance of the real property including buildings, all installed property and utilities, and for planning the expansion and acquisition of new buildings and equipment. The Facilities Manager contributes to profitability and growth of corporation by providing adequate plant and office space, utilities and services. Our Lynnwood, WA site is a 30-acre high tech facility with over 210k square feet and 900 employees within 4 buildings.
Essential Functions:
Maintain efficient and reliable facilities system operationsIdentify and investigate improved methods to reduce facilities operating costsOversee all planning and project management efforts of facilities, building renovations and new building constructionManage facilities planning including preparation of requirements and specifications for building size and all utility requirements - power, water, sewer, HVAC systems, for both process and buildingManage approved projects including the coordination and scheduling of internal work force, outside contractors, regulatory agencies and internal customers affected by the work, budget management and final cost accountingProvide project support for all internal functional groups and Industrial Engineering including production moves, office moves and new production equipment installation, preparation of plans and specifications for facility and utility system modifications, preparation of detailed bid specifications, and arranging bid meetings to obtain contractor costsObtain, maintain and ensure compliance with all local, state and federal environmental permits and regulations; Serve as a liaison between Crane Aerospace and regulatory agenciesDevelop, implement and coordinate policies and procedures on matters concerning protection of the environmentParticipate as a member of Crane Aerospace’s emergency response teamBuild a highly skilled, highly regarded and motivated customer focused teamAny other task assigned by supervisor or managementNon-Essential Functions:
May be required to fill-in or assist the Facilities team with daily tasks, including indoor and outdoor activitiesSupport the operations team with Future Factory goals; actively participate in the strategic goals for the siteMinimum Qualifications:
Experience: 8+ years of experience in Facilities Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or Manufacturing EngineeringKnowledge: Must have a full understanding of Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) including how they operate and how they can best fit the needs of the facilities department; Understand and embrace the principles of Lean including 5s, total productive maintenance and lean office and factory facilities set-upsSkills/Abilities: Must be able to make decisions quickly during crisis situations; Ability to plan, schedule and review the work and performance of subordinates; Excellent communication skills and tact required to maintain a collaborative environment5+ years of experience managing peopleEducation/Certification: BA or BS degree in Industrial, Mechanical, Civil, or Facilities Engineering, or similarEligibility Requirement: This position may require access to Controlled Data or Information. Salary range: $144,060.80 to $183,518.40. Several factors contribute to actual salary, including experience in a similar role or performing comparable job responsibilities, skills, training, and other qualifications. Some roles may be eligible for participation in performance-based bonus programs.
