**Facilities Manager** Manufacturing & Utilities Wake County, NC, US Pay Rate Low: 45 | Pay Rate High: 49 + Added - 02/07/2025 Apply for Job Our client is seeking a proactive, adaptable, and hands-on **Facilities Manager** to lead daily operations and help scale our fast-growing site. This is a key role that blends operational expertise with creative problem solving to keep our workplace safe, efficient, and well-maintained. You'll play a vital part in supporting our team’s productivity, building vendor relationships, and establishing reliable systems as we grow. **Pay Range:** $45-49/hr (Equivalent to ~$100K annually) **Location:** Onsite – Wake County, NC **Type:** Contract with potential for full-time hire **Key Responsibilities:** + Serve as the primary contact for all facilities-related matters, ensuring issues are addressed promptly and professionally. + Oversee day-to-day facility operations, working both independently and with external vendors to maintain smooth, safe, and compliant workflows. + Collaborate closely with Office Management and Lab Operations to uphold safety, security, and compliance standards. + Create and manage preventative maintenance programs and standards for office and facility upkeep. + Lead vendor selection and management, including overseeing service agreements and running RFP processes as needed. + Support site logistics by developing procedures for shipping/receiving, storage, and asset management. + Build and continuously improve SOPs and processes related to facility operations. + Assist with special projects and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives across the site. **Qualifications:** + 5+ years of experience in facilities management, preferably in high-growth or fast-paced environments. + Strong project management skills with the ability to juggle multiple priorities. + Proven track record in vendor management, including negotiation and performance oversight. + Familiarity with budgeting and resource planning. + Working knowledge of HVAC, life safety systems, lighting, and general building maintenance. + Excellent verbal and written communication skills. + Hands-on, problem-solving mindset with a strong sense of ownership and initiative. + Team player who’s comfortable jumping in wherever needed—including occasional lifting (up to 50 lbs). + Experience in gene therapy, biologics, or GMP manufacturing environments is strongly preferred.This job description is a complete list of all desired skills, but not all are required.
