Facilities Manager

JOB DESCRIPTION

The Facilities Manager is responsible for inspecting, maintaining, and repairing mechanical, electrical, plumbing, generators, UPS, and HVAC systems to ensure optimal operating results.  The Facilities Manager will oversee the company’s facilities operations, manage budgets, office moves, and janitorial duties, all while remaining in compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.

Facilities Manager Job Responsibilities

Plan and coordinate all installations (heat, electricity, etc.) and refurbishments.Manage the upkeep of equipment and supplies to meet health and safety standards.Inspect building related to equipment determine the need for repairs or renovations.Review utilities consumption and strive to minimize costs.Supervise all staff facilities staff (Engineer, Technician, Custodians, etc.) and external contractors.Control activities like parking space allocation, waste disposal, building security, etc.Allocate office space according to needs.Handle insurance plans and service contracts.Keep financial and non-financial records.Perform analysis and forecasting.Perform other duties as required by management.

Reporting Relationship

 Facilities Director

Education Required

High school diploma or GED.Associate or bachelor’s degree in a related field preferred.

Experience Required

Five years of related experience. Industrial automotive experience preferred.

Ability to manage time effectively.Ability to think proactively.Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment.Well versed in technical/engineering operations and facilities management best practices.Knowledge of basic accounting and finance principles.Excellent verbal and written communication skills.Excellent organizational and leadership skills.Good analytical/critical thinking.

Travel

Ability to travel up to 0 – 25% (If applicable)
