Work Responsibilities: 

Oversees building and grounds maintenance.

Operates and maintains custodial functions.

Ensures security and emergency preparedness procedures are implemented properly.

Ensures that the facility is clean and maintained according to company policy and procedures.

Oversees and supervises the quality of work for contractors, or vendors, to ensure that all tasks are performed correctly, efficiently, and effectively.

Manages and reviews service contracts.

Conducts and documents regular facilities inspections.

Checks completed work by vendors and contractors.

Recommends maintenance, mechanical, electrical, and facility design modifications.

Liaise and negotiate with suppliers, manufacturers, retailers and consumers

Resolve any arising problems or complaints.

Maintain metrics and analyze data to assess performance and implement improvements

Finalize purchase details of orders and deliveries.

Performing routine maintenance on facilities and making repairs as needed.

Scheduling routine inspections and emergency repairs with outside vendors

Diverse Skills and Experience That You Will Bring to the Role:  

High school diploma required. Bachelor’s degree preferred in facility management, business or engineering or 5-10 years of experience in related field.

Strong project management skills

Knowledge of OSHA and other environmental regulations

Knowledge of general maintenance methods, operating requirements, and safety precautions related to facilities management

Technical engineering skills

Record of successful distribution and logistics management

Demonstrate the ability to lead and manage staff

Proficient in standard logistics software

Excellent analytical, problem solving and organizational skills

Knowledge of sourcing and procurement techniques as wells as a dexterity in “reading” the market

Good knowledge of supplier or third-party management software

Actual compensation may vary based on various factors including experience, education, geographic location, and/or skills.
