Your role and responsibilitiesIn this role, you will have the opportunity to support the selection of the Facility Management model to incorporate market best practices. Each day, you will manage or coordinate operating expenses, including repair and maintenance services, cleaning services, security services, utility expenses, energy costs, and common areas maintenance. You will also showcase your expertise by supervising and managing the building soft and hard service operations.The work model for the role is: #Li - Onsite This role is contributing to the Motion Business Area in Nelamangala, Bangalore.You will be mainly accountable for:•\tEnsures security solutions and services follow ABB security standards. •\tEnsures appropriate maintenance, inspection and testing activities are conducted and records kept for all fire safety equipment and systems & Keeps certificates of compliance.•\tDevelop and implement robust security policies and procedures to safeguard company assets, employees, and premises.•\tZero harm – (in conjunction with the Health and Safety Manager) ensures that all activities led by Real Estate are undertaken with all necessary safety control measures to mitigate and eliminate hazards/risks. •\tOversee and manage the organization’s transportation requirements, including employee shuttle services and vehicle maintenance.•\tOversee housekeeping services to maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment.•\tIn conjunction with the Sustainability Officer and Head of Green CREM, ensures all real estate facilities and services are managed and monitored to maximize energy efficiency of buildings and sites, makes assessments, and recommends energy saving solutions. •\tAssesses buildings and recommends actions for improvement in line with ABB’s Green Corporate Real Estate Management (CREM) approach.
Qualifications for the role\tA bachelor’s degree is mandatory, with an MBA in Administration considered a valuable additional qualification along with 10-15 years of experience in Administration.\tProven track record of managing large teams within the manufacturing sector, with experience overseeing the operations of 1000 to 2000 employees.\tThe candidate should have a deep understanding of manufacturing processes, workforce management, and the unique challenges that come with large-scale production environments. \tHands-on experience in liaising with government bodies, including dealing with government officials and panchayats. This includes navigating regulatory requirements, ensuring compliance, and fostering strong working relationships with local authorities for smooth operations.\tKnowledge and experience in managing or contributing to CSR initiatives, including designing, implementing, and overseeing social responsibility programs within an organization. This could involve community outreach, environmental sustainability projects, and employee welfare pro-grams.\tDemonstrated experience in managing large contract labor workforces, including areas such as housekeeping, security, and logistics (loading & unloading). The candidate should have a clear understanding of labor regulations, contract management, and the logistics of large-scale workforce deployment.
