The Facilities Manager will have responsibility for facilities and engineering activities associated with the Pearl, MS facility The essential duties shall support organizational objectives associated with safety, engineering, maintenance, facilities management and project management. This position will collaborate closely with other members of management in relation to safety, facilities improvement, project implementation, maintenance and priorities. Manages maintenance, process engineering and other technical members in the facilities areas. Work closely with all departments to meet the strategic, operational, service, financial, and quality performance goals.
Essential Duties:
Manage and prioritize all engineering efforts to align with and help achieve the strategic objectives of the business unit.
Provide support and direction to engineer(s) and other technical members to ensure coordination by making sure problems are communicated and timely services are provided to the manufacturing group.
Develop and promote innovative processes that will positively impact cost and overall quality.
Support Sales by providing technical literature and capacity studies
Represent the Company at industry, trade, and agency meetings.
Assist in the development of new products.
Coordinating routing maintenance, repairs, and renovations of building systems and grounds keeping
Managing the facility budget for maintenance costs, utilities, & contracts
Safety compliance to Pearl, MS standards
Planning & managing facility layout & design
Vendor and Supplier Management
Developing & coordinating emergency response plans
Ensuring the facility adheres to all local, state, & federal building codes and environmental regulation
Leading and managing a team of facility staff including maintenance techs
Ensure all equipment has routine preventive maintenance monthly
Develop and adopt a TPM program
Hire, train, & assess performance of technical staff
Managing construction and renovation projects within the facility
Support continuous improvement (Kaizen), Lean and Automation initiatives within the facility
Assist Cross functional team in capacity planning as needed
Develop RFQ's and AFE's for all capital projects (review and assist others with RFQ and AFE submittals)
Continue to drive Safety / Environmental Improvements and ensure a safe working environment

Education and Experience Preferred:
Four-year Engineering or Manufacturing Technology degree.
Minimum of five years wire and cable related experience is Preferred.
Knowledge and Skills Preferred:
Ability to effectively communicate across all levels of the organization, both orally and written.
Must embrace a continuous improvement mindset and actively participate in the advancement of the business.
Required travel to customers.
Must have the ability to represent the Company and give formal presentations.
Strong managerial and communication skills
Working Conditions and/or Physical Requirements:
Ability to work long hours in a sedentary position sitting, talking, looking at a computer, charts/graphs and performing repetitive motions.
Ability to move objects and materials of at least 25lbs.
Ability to collaborate with manufacturing team members as needed in an environment that can be noisy.
Ability to follow safety guidelines and wear required PPE when onsite.
