**Job Summary:**
The Teledyne FLIR Bozeman operations is seeking a proactive and detail-oriented facility professional to join our team and lead our facility operations. Our state-of-the-art facility supports the design and manufacturing of high-performance military laser systems and high-perfection crystalline materials and optical components. This role is responsible for maintaining efficient and well-functioning facilities and ensures a safe, clean, and productive environment for all occupants. Your commitment to excellence will be vital in supporting the overall operational success of our organization.
**Primary Job Duties & Responsibilities:**
+ Monitor and operate the building management system (BMS) to ensure optimal performance of facility systems.
+ Respond promptly to maintenance requests, BMS alarms, and other issues or emergencies including those may occur outside of normal working hours.
+ Proactively coordinate planning and response to BMS changes, critical issues, or emergencies with key staff/stakeholders.
+ Responsible for scheduling and executing the facilities preventative maintenance (PM) program. Key systems include HVAC, Diesel Generators, Boilers, Compressors, UPS, Pumps.
+ Lead facility improvement projects.
+ Perform routine maintenance, troubleshoot issues, and ensure a safe and efficient environment for all employees and visitors.
+ Responsible for maintaining accurate records of inspections and repairs.
+ Update and improve PM program as needed, including reviewing and drafting related Standard operating Procedures (SOP’s).
+ Coordinate other facility related services such as lawn care, snow removal and cleaning.
+ Solicit bids, review, and provide recommendations for contracted PM and other facility services.
+ Identify building efficiency opportunities to support cost savings or environmental impact improvements.
+ Prioritize support of facility related Environment, Health, and Safety (EHS) activities.
+ Under the direction of corporate IT, support ad hoc inspection and repairs of building network and security systems.
**Core Competencies:**
+ Basic working knowledge of all facility systems.
+ Project management experience with excellent attention to detail, planning and organizational skills.
+ Results driven and self-motivated.
+ Excellent English communication skills (verbal and written), this role requires thorough communication and coordination with external vendors and key internal stakeholders.
+ Knowledge and ability to maintain, troubleshoot and repair all types of building infrastructure and systems preferred.
+ Knowledge of control systems preferred.
+ Ability to work from a wide range of work instructions and SOP’s.
+ Review and interpret various plans and blueprints.
+ Ability to set up and maintain inventories of spare parts.
+ Computer literacy and control system experience required.
+ Current knowledge of industry accepted safe work practices required.
**Job Qualifications**
+ Minimum of 2+ years of experience in carpentry, plumbing, electrical and/or HVAC.
+ High School Diploma or equivalent required; job-specific trade school courses and/or Associates or Bachelors degree a plus.
+ Experience in repairing and maintaining factory support equipment such as pumps, compressors, HVAC units a plus.
+ Computer literacy desired.
+ Equipment or skill-specific certification desired.
+ Able and willing to lift up to 70 pounds required.
+ Able and willing to use safe practices and prevent accidents when using ladders for tasks at various heights.
+ Able and willing to stand and/or walk for extended periods of time while carrying equipment, supplies, etc.
+ Valid driver’s license with a violation free driving record.
Applicants must be either a U.S. citizen, U.S. national, legal permanent resident, asylee, refugee or must be eligible to apply for and obtain the appropriate export control license from the U.S. Departments of State or Commerce.
