Facilities Operations Technician III
Overview We are looking to fill the position of Facilities Operations Technician III. The main responsibility for this position is to ensure that the condition of our manufacturing areas meets and or exceeds the standards required to create our lithium-ion cells. We are seeking dedicated individuals to join us as full-time, on-site team members at our new, state-of-the-art factory located in the thriving city of DeSoto, Kansas. Job Summary: We are looking to fill the position of Facilities Operations Technician III. The main responsibility for this position is to ensure that the condition of our manufacturing areas meets and or exceeds the standards required to create our lithium-ion cells. Essential Duties: Perform routine rounds on mechanical and electrical systems, troubleshooting and repairs using standard equipment and hand tools with no supervision. Performs well defined trouble shooting and repair on facilities equipment with no supervision. Develops scopes of work and effectively, and ensure they adhere to work rules set forth by PECNA. Advance knowledge to detect faulty operations, defective material, and report those and any unusual situations to proper supervision. First Responder. Be able to move rapidly through the factory to any of the manufacturing areas that may require an operations response. Be able to quickly assess a utility outage and take corrective measures needed to rectify situation. Regularly interfaces with Engineering, Construction and other work groups including PECNA Tenants Maintains appropriate work-related records such as equipment maintenance records, general work orders, maintenance request forms, and CMMS (computerized maintenance management system) checklists. Adheres to all safety and company policies, safety regulations and maintain clean and orderly work areas. Utilizes CMMS for documenting labor hours and equipment maintenance reporting. Advanced skills and abilities of electrical & mechanical equipment and components including but not limited to the following systems: Compressed Air Electrical High Pressure Compressed Air Exhaust Dry Air Dust collection Process Vacuum Nitrogen Deionized water Process Cooling Water Hot Reverse Osmosis Water nMP and electrolyte Must be proficient in more than one mechanical/technical construction trade: Electrical, Plumbing and Pipefitting, Boiler Maker, HVAC Journeyman/Mechanic highly preferred. Advanced in the use of hand-held measuring devices, take readings for dew point, temperature, relative humidity, air flow, ampacity, pressure, and particulates. Must possess advanced skills with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook). Be able to read and identify equipment and fault areas on blueprints. Be able to draft, approve, and follow Maintenance Operating Procedures (MOP) and Job Safety Analysis Read and interpret equipment manuals and work orders to perform required repairs and service. Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) Requirements: To ensure the health and safety in the workplace and for the protection of our employee’s, wearing PPE is a requirement for some roles at PENA and may include equipment such as a full Tyvek suit, safety shoes, gloves, safety glasses, face mask, Hard Hat, Uniforms, and a full hazmat suit that includes a respirator. Qualifications: Requirements - Required and/or Preferred Education: Basic/Required: High School Diploma or GED Preferred: Related Trade school/vocational graduate; 2 years of trade school or equivalent Essential Qualifications: Minimum of 4-7 years of related work experience; industrial manufacturing facilities preferred. Advanced knowledge and work experience in mechanical, electrical, plumbing, pneumatic, and HVAC in an industrial manufacturing facility environment Advanced oral and written communication skills and willingness to lead a team. Flexibility and a strong self-initiative are critical. Electrical Safety in the Workplace Must have working-level knowledge of the English language, including reading, writing, and speaking English. Preferred Qualifications: Experience in mechanical engineering or construction management Experience utilizing a scheduling software.
