Facilities Planning Manager

The Facilities Planning Manager is responsible for collaborating with the Health Ministries on project conceptualization, prioritization, and development out of the working location of Remote- Home Office. This position will serve as the subject matter expert on strategic master facility plans including facility planning, programming, and benchmarking and possess a strong understanding of operations planning. The Facilities Planning Manager will also maintain alignment with the mission and strategy of both Medxcel and the Health Ministries. This Manager will model all aspects of professionalism with an emphasis on developing cost-effective projects. This position will report to the Director of Facilities Planning. Responsibilities Assess, develop, and implement the most effective approach to tracking and updating strategic master facility plans. Serve as point of contact for the Health Ministries on facility planning. Communicate effectively with the Health Ministry leadership, Regional Director of Planning, Design, & Construction, and local Project Managers regarding project concepts. Monitor the high level progress of planning engagement and report progress and risks to Medxcel leadership. Maintain strict adherence to the operational and planning guidelines. Ensure project documents related to the tracking of the projects are complete and executed properly. Demonstrated ability to approach conceptual design and construction issues, identify alternative solutions, make recommendations, and present them in an easily understood manner. Collaborate with other subject-matter experts within Ascension Health and the Health Ministries to ensure the benefits of their expertise flow to developing projects. Serve as a key link with the Regional Directors in providing excellent customer service to the Health Ministries. Qualifications Education: Bachelor's in Architecture, Strategy, Economics, or Business -required. Master's in Architecture, Strategy, Economics, or Business -preferred. Experience: 5 years in strategic resource planning, facility planning, or project development -required. 3 years of experience in healthcare environments -required. 8-10 years in strategic resource planning, facilitiy planning, or project development -preferred. Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities: Capable of maximizing technology to drive results within the e-Builder tool and otherwise. Problem solving—the individual identifies and resolves problems in a timely manner and gathers and analyzes information skillfully. Advanced analytical skills to work with the tools, data, and metrics. Quality management—the individual looks for ways to improve and promote quality and demonstrates accuracy and thoroughness. Planning/organizing—the individual prioritizes and plans work activities, uses time efficiently and develops realistic action plans. Judgment—the individual displays willingness to make decisions, exhibits sound and accurate judgment and makes timely decisions. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with ability to communicate across all levels of the organization. Critical thinking—logical analysis and decision-making ability.
