Position Summary

Ensures the consistent coordination and successful completion of strategic projects aligned with the organization's goals and commitments. Oversees facility related programs and services within the organization through facility operations, including real estate and lease management, space optimization, financial planning, and project support. Manages and reports on progress, milestones, and timelines to ensure advancement and accomplishment of the organization’s strategy, commitments, and goals.

 

Responsibilities

•    Assists the director and executive leadership in the overall presentation, implementation, execution, control and completion of the organization’s strategic plan

•    Evaluates and contributes to the execution of new business units, joint ventures, acquisitions, and services

•    Oversees the organization's real estate and lease portfolio, including negotiating new and renewal leases

•    Collaborates with Contracts, Accounting, and Legal teams to ensure all lease and real estate documentation is current and well-organized

•    Cultivates and maintains strong relationships with property owners and managers to ensure smooth operations and prompt issue resolution

•    Provides consultative services to unit leadership to include feasibility of new programs and services, opportunities for performance improvement of services, and assistance with review of mergers and acquisitions

•    Actively contributes to the Space Allocation Committee and Signage Committee, providing input and assisting in the implementation of strategic space decisions.

•    Supports efforts to optimize organizational efficiency, space utilization, and alignment with long-term goals

•    Oversees the financial aspects of facility operations, including budgeting, cost management, and procurement 

•    Ensures operations are cost-effective by identifying cost savings and reductions, improving team efficiency, and supporting organizational growth through optimized facility management practices

•    Leads strategic planning initiatives, such as Ambulatory Space Committee, aimed at driving revenue growth and expanding service lines for the organization 

•    Contributes to the development and execution of strategies that align with organizational objectives

•    Negotiates contracts for commercial services and foster positive relationships with vendors, ensuring favorable terms and outcomes

•    Serves as a liaison between various internal departments, external stakeholders, and regulatory bodies, facilitating effective communication and collaboration to advance facility program goals

•    Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals

•    Regular and predictable attendance is an essential job function

•    Performs other related duties as assigned

•    Competent to meet age-specific needs of the unit assigned

 

Requirements and Minimum Qualifications

•    Bachelor’s degree in healthcare administration, business administration, nursing, or similar field required; Master’s degree strongly preferred 

•    Minimum 5 years’ progressive experience in a healthcare setting required 

•    3 years’ progressive experience in project management, strategic planning, and data analytics preferred 

•    Lean Six Sigma or related change management certification preferred 

•    Background and experience with hospital operations desired
