Summary:
Under general supervision of the Manager Financial Planning performs a variety of professional accounting duties to maintain the accounting systems for system-wide capital projects including preparation of accounting and finance reports overseeing and participating in day-to-day problem solving.
Responsibilities:
Supports projects with overall accounting and financial activities to measure and monitor project financial performance.
Creates and maintains project level accounts.
Completes all postings allocations accruals and payments for the project.
Prepares and distributes monthly reports on project status including budget and forecasting for project reviews.
Coordinates with project team to reflect changes in project scope or timeline.
Prepares final project close out.

Utilizes computer system and database software to enter & extrapolate data for tracking of capital construction projects and financial operations for systemwide capital projects.
Analyzing & preparing monthly quarterly & annual reports for Finance to provide information with respect to budget versus actual of capital projects.
Contributes to the preparation of year end schedules and reports as needed.
Conducts bi-weekly capital project review meeting which includes presenting the status of projects and obtaining/updating information from team architects engineers and project managers.
Reviews all projects monthly to identify which can be capitalized & report to Finance.
Work and communicate with system departments including but not limited to Accounts Payable Procurement/Purchasing & Finance as well as outside entities i.e. consultants contractors & vendors.

EDUCATION:
Bachelor�s degree in accounting or business required.
EXPERIENCE:
2-4 years of related project accounting experience preferably in a health care environment.
Strong organizational skills with the ability to work on several assignments simultaneously setting priorities meeting deadlines and working independently within established guidelines.
Effective communication both verbally and in writing.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY:
None; May provide functional guidance to others who may be assigned on a project basis.
