THE JOB:

Are you ready to lead and make a real impact at one of the most iconic destinations in Las Vegas? As the Facilities Manager at New York-New York Casino, you'll play a pivotal role in overseeing the dynamic operations of our department, working closely with the Director of Facilities. This exciting position puts you in charge of managing the maintenance and operations of the entire building, coordinating various trades, and leading a talented engineering team. You’ll ensure that all tasks are scheduled, assigned, and completed efficiently while maintaining the highest standards of quality and service. THE DAY-TO-DAY:

Implement Department Strategy: Align department goals with the company’s strategic plan, fiscal budget, and short- and long-term profitability objectives.

Lead Engineering Team: Supervise all engineering activities and maintenance staff, providing performance feedback, setting priorities, managing schedules, and overseeing hiring, training, promotions, and employee engagement.

Ensure Exceptional Guest Service: Oversee the delivery and quality of guest service, ensuring it meets the company’s service standards and brand attributes.

Maintain Compliance: Ensure adherence to local and federal health, safety, and building codes while keeping accurate records of department activities and documents.

Monitor Utility Costs: Regularly assess utility usage and costs, maintaining necessary logs for all utilities.

Oversee Preventative Maintenance: Manage and enforce preventative maintenance schedules, oversee cleaning, repairs, and equipment replacement as required.

Inventory and Purchasing Management: Provide input on inventory levels and manage purchasing of parts, tools, equipment, and machinery to meet property standards.

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE:

Age: Must be at least 21 years old.

Education: Bachelor's degree in Engineering or equivalent experience in a related field.

Experience: At least 2 years of relevant management experience or technical education in engineering or a related discipline.

Schedule Availability: Must be flexible to work 8-hour shifts, including weekends and holidays.

Physical Requirements: Ability to stand, walk, bend, reach, kneel, and squat for extended periods. Capable of lifting, pulling, and carrying up to 25 lbs. as needed.

Maintenance Engineering Experience: Proven experience in maintenance engineering or similar technical roles, with a strong understanding of equipment upkeep and repairs.
