The mission of Workplace Operations & Supply Chain is to provide Bloomberg with the best, most resilient support possible to enable our employees to achieve commercial and product goals and provide outstanding service to our customers. We drive the strategy across our real estate portfolio, facilities, workplace experience operations, employee collaboration and technology solutions, employee support desk, and the supply chain.
As the Facility Site Manager, Tokyo Facilities, you will play a critical role in ensuring Bloomberg's facilities reflect its culture of excellence and innovation. You will be responsible for our commercial office in Tokyo, remote site in Toyosu, Daikanyama Data center and service office in Osaka. You will oversee operations, lead multi-year planning for capital and operational budgets, drive sustainability initiatives, and use metrics and data integrity to continuously improve services. Collaborating closely with internal teams, vendors, and stakeholders, you will help shape an exceptional workplace for employees and guests alike.

Vendor Partnership Collaboration: Partner with all Workplace Operations departments including Infrastructure and Workplace Experience to deliver a strong vendor partnership within campus operations. Monthly operational review and quarterly QBR with 3rd party providers to ensure operational excellence and high-quality performance throughout all levels of facilities operations. Monitor vendor performance and partner with vendor leadership team to address any issues, strengthen the partnership, and provide adjustments to ensure high-quality service delivery. Proactively integrate sustainability principles (SOG’s), including energy efficiency, waste reduction, and water conservation, into all facilities operations and vendor contracts. Annual Capital & Operational Planning: Lead the multi-year capital & operational budget planning process, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and financial accuracy to plan, execute, and oversee various projects to enhance our facilities. Coordinate with internal teams, including design and capital projects to build and manage the multi-year capital plan to prioritize projects and allocate resources effectively. Program Continuous Improvement: Lead initiatives to continuously improve facility operations and maintenance processes - including continuous review of SOPs supporting global SLAs and regional execution across the region. Use metrics and data-driven insights to monitor performance and enhance operational efficiency. Support global implementation and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure and enhance operational efficiency and hit management committee metrics. Foster a culture of continuous improvement among the facilities team to ensure campus facilities are safe, functional, and well-maintained. Oversee the successful delivery of facilities routine maintenance and repairs and manage emergency response procedures to ensure compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and safety standards. Budget Management: Oversee development and management of annual budget for Tokyo, ensuring cost-effective operations and on-budget/on-time delivery. Support vendor partners in development of financial reports and forecasts for senior management. Liaison with CFO team across the region for operations related to all facilities budget, opex and capex planning. You'll need to have: Bachelor's degree in Facilities Management, Business Administration, or a related field. Minimum of 6 years of experience in facilities management, including vendor management and project oversight. Excellent leadership, communication and negotiation skills Strong organizational and time management abilities. Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously. Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills. Commitment to sustainability and energy efficiency practices. Experience managing complex projects with measurable success. Familiarity with workplace technologies and tools that support operations and sustainability initiatives. Business level proficiency in Japanese and English
