The PositionYour key responsibilities
Maintain compliance with company safety programs and protocols. Ensures all work is performed in the safest manner possible to protect employees, vendors and visitors.Provide engineering and project management support for a wide range of facility related projects, including but not limited to building remodeling and construction, equipment installation and/or replacement, safety and environmental compliance, and energy conservation.Be responsible for overall management of capital projects including project scheduling, capital cost estimation, budget tracking, equipment specification, specific phases of design, resource planning, process development and equipment installation and qualification. Development of project costs and schedules will be based on customer driven needs.Work with outside consultants and contractors for capital projects and participate in city plan check and building permit processes.Report and analyze performance data for all facility functions.Responsible for facilities equipment/system validations.Understand, Create, and lead all aspects of the maintenance of facilities documents in a computerized maintenance management system (CMMS). SAP experience preferred.Prepare, create and review work instructions; preventative maintenance instructions; facilities documents and other written programs as needed.Direct troubleshooting and maintenance duties such as mechanical and electrical repairs.Train technical and non-technical personnel.Be responsible for the maintenance and set up of the environmental monitoring systems and building management systems.Serve as facility technical liaison between, Production, QC, Engineering, R&D, and all indirect functional groups.Lead multiple projects by setting objectives, establishing implementation plans and schedules to accomplish defined objectives with the ability to perform these activities with minimal direction.Make suggestions to management for improving this position, or improving work processes.Other duties as assigned.Who you are
Bachelor's with 1-2 years of progressive experience in construction planning or master's degree in facilities, engineering, architecture or related field or equivalent work experience. Equivalent professional experience may be substituted in lieu of education.Mechanical Engineer experience is preferred.Highly desired demonstrated knowledge of building automation, software configuration and commercial building operations.Must possess leadership skills including organizing, scheduling, and coordinating work assignments to meet project achievements or established completion dates.Must be customer focused and possess: (1) the ability to identify issues, analyze and interpret data and develop solutions to a variety of complex problems; (2) excellent analytical, verbal and written communication skills to accurately document, report, and present findings; (3) excellent interpersonal skills to guide employees, negotiate and resolve conflicts; (4) the ability to represent the company as a knowledgeable resource on external projects; and (5) excellent computer skills.Previous experience working for an organization that performs building renovations is desired.Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and develop system P&IDs.Familiar with Industry Construction Standards and best practices highly desired.Knowledge of HVAC systems and automated controls highly desired.Knowledge of security systems and controls highly desired.WORK ENVIRONMENT

The expected salary range for this position based on the primary location of California is $70,300.00 - $130,500.00 USD Annual. Actual pay will be determined based on experience, qualifications, geographic location, and other job-related factors permitted by law.
