Facilities Supervisor

Location: Pala, CA

Responsible for reviewing all work requests that fall under the project status, as well as responsible for project planning for the hotel and the casino.

Able to work flexible hours. Exceptional people skills. Ability to work with other departments, vendors, contractors, Pala Tribal organizations, various team members, upper management and utility companies. Must have a thorough knowledge of the Facilities including the gaming locations, food and beverage equipment, mechanical equipment, structural design, exterior finishes, interior finishes, floor coverings, elevator mechanisms, waster water and portable water systems, IT systems, communication systems, and AV systems. Must know how to edit and monitor the Kronos time tracking system. Must be able to estimate the cost of a project. Must be able to use MS Excel or some other project management system. Must have good knowledge of vendors needed to purchase (or rent) material and equipment from in order to perform the necessary functions to complete the project. Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization. High school diploma or GED required. One to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combinations of education and experience. Degree preferred.

Essential Job Functions:

Will gather all pertinent information on requested projects from Facility Director, managers, and requesting department. Determine project needs, allotted amount of time for the project and determine whether or not it will be a contracted project. On contracted projects it will be the project supervisors responsibility to arrange with vendors for pricing and scheduling. Responsible for supervising all other leads or supervisors in the facilities department Responsible for scheduling the engineers who will work on the project.. Price out and order the material and equipment to complete the project. Responsible for monitoring every phase of the project, and reporting the progress to the Facilities Director daily. Responsible for following project from start to finish. Responsible for completing a summary of each projected completed. Gathers statements and comments from requesting department. Responsible for maintaining inventory on materials that are commonly used. Will be involved in the construction schedules of interruptions, relocation of equipment, power shutdowns, water supply interruptions, sewer system interruptions, and any other system changes affect by a major construction project.
