POSITION SUMMARY:
Responsible for performing the duties and responsibilities of facility, building and grounds maintenance personnel, on a 3 shift basis, 7 days a week. Makes recommendations for machinery, personnel and equipment necessary to accomplish the task. Manages a team of employees to develop and performs evaluations of their skills and ability. Works within prescribed budgets set up themselves and the Engineering & Tooling Manager. Interacts with supervisor and managers in establishing necessary work to be done and schedules manpower to perform within the area of responsibility. Trains personnel in the duties within their responsibility.
FUNCTIONS:
Responsible for initiating, coordinating and managing all aspects of the Pest Control program. Including monitoring the 3rd party pest control company and reporting of issues/corrective actions found within the facility.
Maintains all systems facility machinery, building, grounds and landscape. Ensures the proper operation of fire alarm systems, sprinkler systems, security of the building access and egress all safety devices and signage, roads and walkways in regard to snow removal and safe use of same. Maintains reliability of all electrical systems, plumbing, and process cooling water treatment, compressed air, hydraulic cooling and HVAC systems. Provides for the clearing of drains and basins, roof drains and sewage lines in the event of blockage. Works with emergency municipal services in the event of a fire, flood or other such emergency to resume operations of the plant in a timely manner.Makes installation of new machinery into the plant and facility services to operate machines and systems. Manages positive relationship with outside vendors.Maintains climatic conditions in the plants to mold manufacturing conditions within prescribed limits, through the use of HVAC equipment and other measures. Provides carpentry and building skills to implement projects of expansion and/or demolition for renovation to the manufacturing plant.Performs fire system testing in conjunction with state and indemnity insurance carrier representatives. Monitors environmental regulations of hazardous materials and performs duties according to state and federal regulations.Prepares bid sheets and contracts for construction and facilities buildings and equipment purchases.Develop and maintains budgets within approved guidelines.Manages annual plant shutdown. Performs all other duties as assigned.SECONDARY FUNCTIONS:
Maintains all tools and vehicles assigned to facility maintenance. Replaces in kind. Maintains exterior lighting and devices that do not require special tooling or elevated assistance.Maintains records of work performed and cost associated.Apprentice electrician’s helper to a state license.When work in primary classification is not available, may perform other duties according to skill and availability.PPE Requirements:

Knowledge/Education/Experience:
