ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Conduct long and short-range facility space planning
Develop financial forecasting, budgets, and control expense spends
Develop appropriate staffing that oversee the operations of all services to ensure that they are provided in the most efficient and economical manner. Specific operations and services include:
Janitorial services, waste/recycle, and general upkeep
Maintenance and operation of mechanical equipment (HVAC), plumbing, electrical, elevators, food service equipment, fire alarm, suppression systems, and any other equipment as needed!
Landscaping, parking lot maintenance, and snow removal
In the future, act as Liaison between Belk and cafeteria contractors to ensure overall cafeteria standards are met and in a cost effective manner
Act as liaison between Belk and Printing/Mail Services to ensure printing/mail requirements are met on a timely and cost effective basis while insuring contract SLA’s are met
Work with and coordinate activities of all outside contractors to ensure work is completed in accordance with contract specifications and that accompanying financial charges are accurate
Negotiate, contract, and purchase services and equipment
Monitor and ensure that the building and its operations comply with all applicable standards, laws, and codes
Work with the Belk Finance regarding fixed assets, capital investments, expense management and reporting
Responsible for all space planning and move management within the Belk Corporate Facilities
Responsible for working with the Belk Business Partners to insure compliance of operating procedures and making sure their operational and safety needs are met
Work with Security and Safety Supervisors to ensure safety policies and procedures for the corporate facilities are up-to-date and adhered to
Manage and coordinate the company fleet vehicles; maintain appropriate licensing, insurance, and maintenance as require
Follow any job related instructions as requested by supervisor or management

Bachelor's Degree in Building/Construction required, related field a plus but not requiredWork Experience:
4-6 years relevant experience in Facilities Management RequiredAuto-CAD design experience RequiredKNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES
Strong interpersonal and communications skillsAbility to manage activities performed by multiple third partiesStrong trouble shooting and problem solving skillsAbility to effectively multi-taskKnowledge of building operation and code requirementsSense of urgency to complete tasks in an efficient mannerStrong financial skills with ability to analyze/evaluate invoice, statistical, and accounting data; must also be able to formulate/administer budgets and analyze related reports.Strong MS computer skills including accounting softwareAbility to understand and utilize technical charts (blueprints, schematics, flowcharts, Drawings, etc.).PHYSICAL DEMANDS
