REPORTS TO: Facilities Supervisor/ Business Administrator
SUPERVISES: N/A
STATUS: Non-Exempt
SCHEDULE: Part Time / AM Lead is 6AM – 1PM (with 1 hour break) PM Lead is Noon until 6PM
FUNCTION: Work in a very physical environment. Works with a variety of tasks and tools. They will function in a team environment. Be a role model to youth. Through their actions, words, and work ethic they will promote the Christian faith and values in keeping with the Mission of The Salvation Army.

Responsibilities

DUTIES:
Leadership:
• As the Team Lead, this individual will handle all escalated issues when the Supervisor is not available.
• Provide daily guidance to the Facilities team to ensure all tasks are completed in a timely manner
• Communicate all issues to management
• Will be the backup Facilities Supervisor as needed – including all supervisory & administrative responsibilities.
• Snow/ ice removal and salting of interior sidewalks
• Be on call for after-hours work; including weekends and holidays
• Be the designated backup when Facilities Supervisor is unavailable.
Light building maintenance:
• General building repairs in conjunction with Property Management Company
• Changing lightbulbs across campus
• Assist with light electrical, plumbing, painting projects
• Sanitize all door handles hourly throughout campus
• Caring for and properly storing all tools and machinery
• Assist with the upkeep and general maintenance of the two officers’ residential quarters
Grounds Maintenance:

• Snow and ice removal and salting of campus walkways
• Leaf and debris removal
• Care and cleaning of sports field turf
• Care and cleaning of playground equipment and Splash Pad
• Trash collection and removal around campus and sports field
Event Setup/Tear Downs
• Assist with table/chair configuration and setup for events
• Taking down all tables and chairs and properly storing them
• Assist with the setup and take down of all inflatable devices and properly move to storage area
General
• Delivery of mail and packages across campus
• Assist as needed with moving things around campus
• Assist with general maintenance on all vehicles – including transporting vehicles to service areas and gas stations for fuel
• Assist with general maintenance on all machinery
• Maintain an appropriate inventory of all cleaning supplies
• Janitorial support as requested
• All other duties as deemed necessary and appropriate by management.

Qualifications

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
1. A person of good character
2. Able to follow directions
3. Willing to work a variety of schedules as needed for programming
4. Must be able to read, write, and communicate clearly in English
5. Must be able to work well with others
6. Must be able to lift 75 lbs
7. Must have a valid driver’s license
8. Must be able to pass a Salvation Army test for a 12 passenger van
