Job Description

 

Summary

The Sr. Facilities Technician maintains and repairs the facility's structure, equipment and grounds, which may include plumbing, electrical and HVAC. Performs skilled trades work, such as carpentry or painting in the construction, repair or alteration of structures such as walls, roofs or office fixtures. Works with manufacturing or process engineering in the installation or repair of building plumbing and wiring required in the production process. Makes periodic or special inspections of the premise to determine repair work necessary.

Position Responsibilities

Receives and completes daily Track-It™ facilities work orders which include, but are not limited to: minor electrical/lighting, plumbing, drywall, painting and ceiling tile repairsProvides support on construction, repair, and maintenance activities such as landscaping, framing, modular assembly (cubicles), fabrication, painting, HVAC, plumbing and electricalSupports all department moves, additions, or changes, including inter-office transportationOperates a forklift to relocate materials and toolingUtilize aerial platforms such as scissor and boom lifts in order to repair equipment such as lighting and bannersConference room / special event setup. Custodial maintenance support (in the event of an emergency)Works on preventative maintenance on all equipment such as machinery, building electrical systems, plumbing, modular systems, HVAC, etcAssists in monthly EH&S inspections and maintaining a safe work environmentAssists with processing waste streams such as recycling, universal waste, and hazardous materialsMay need to assist other departments in order to meet milestones or deadlinesOther duties as assigned

Other Qualifications & Desired Competencies

Minimum High School diploma or GED equivalentMinimum of 6+ years of related experience or equivalent combination of education, training, and experienceExperienced and proficient with MS Office software (Word, Excel and Outlook)Strong knowledge of and adherence to shop safety practicesStrong oral and written communication skillsExperienced and proficient with the use of hand tools and machinery related to Facilities MaintenanceExperienced using a forkliftExperienced performing common building repairs such as plumbing, light carpentry, painting, electrical, fabrication, etcValid California driver's license with clean driving record

The salary range for this role is:

$38 - $54
