Clariant is currently looking for a Facilities Technician to support the Care Chemicals business unit in Clear Lake, TX. This role plays a vital part in maintaining a healthy and compliant work environment, supporting the day-to-day operations of a high-utilization site. The ideal candidate will have a strong attention to detail, a proactive approach to facility maintenance, and a commitment to ensuring a safe and compliant workplace. They should be dependable, organized, and capable of working in a dynamic environment. This position is a full time, onsite opportunity. Responsibilities
• Conduct safety and facilities inspections to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and company guidelines
• Report any facilities deficiencies requiring repair or maintenance
• Maintain cleanliness across the facility, including kitchens, bathrooms, floors, and control rooms
• Disinfect bathrooms, kitchens, control rooms, doors, and other high-touch areas following company guidelines
• Work with vendors to ensure facilities supplies are adequately stocked and replenished as needed
• Ensure trash and recycling bins are emptied and properly disposed of
• Coordinate with team members to address and resolve facility-related issues
• Perform additional duties as required to support the smooth operation of the facility
Requirements
• High school diploma required
• Prior facilities or janitorial experience is strongly preferred
• Ability to maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary environment
• Efficiently prioritize tasks to complete daily responsibilities on schedule
• Capable of standing, bending, lifting, and moving equipment or materials for extended periods
• Knowledge of proper handling of cleaning chemicals and adherence to safety protocols
• Ability to perform minor repairs and identify maintenance needs
• Able to communicate effectively with supervisors, team members, and facility occupants
• Dependable attendance and ability to work independently or with a team
