Facilities Technician role responsible for inspecting, repairing, and maintaining building systems, equipment, and safety infrastructure.
Job Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent
Proven experience as a Facilities Technician or similar maintenance role
Knowledge of building systems including plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and basic carpentry
Proficiency using maintenance tools, hand tools, and power tools
Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, blueprints, and schematics
Preferred Skills:
Technical certification or vocational training in a maintenance-related field (e.g., HVAC, electrical, plumbing)
Experience performing preventive maintenance programs for commercial or industrial facilities
Familiarity with facility maintenance software or CMMS
Experience working with external contractors and vendors for specialized repairs
Job Responsibilities:
Perform routine inspections of buildings and equipment to identify and address maintenance needs
Conduct repairs and troubleshooting on plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry, and general building systems
Respond to maintenance requests and prioritize tasks to minimize disruption to operations
Maintain and repair equipment, machinery, and appliances within the facility
Perform preventive maintenance tasks to ensure longevity and efficiency of building systems
Coordinate and collaborate with contractors and vendors for specialized maintenance or repair work
Conduct regular inspections of safety systems such as fire alarms, sprinklers, and emergency lighting to ensure compliance with regulations
Monitor inventory levels of maintenance supplies and equipment and initiate purchase requests as needed
Pay Details: $18.00 to $21.00 per hour
