The Facilities department seeks a Facilities Technician to assist in the operations, maintenance, and repairs to the University’s buildings and grounds as well as light HVAC repairs. The typical work schedule includes 8-hour shifts during a 40-hour work week. 

Responsible for general maintenance including painting. Completes facilities work and room set-ups initiated by faculty, staff, and students. Troubleshoots, repairs and maintains the building systems and facilities as required. Assists with the completion of small-scale carpentry projects. Conducts light HVAC and preventative maintenance. Performs repairs of doors, hardware, and basic locksmith tasks. Completes light electrical repairs to appliances, fixtures and switches. Completes light plumbing repairs to water and sewage systems including replacement of fittings and clearing of stoppages. Parks cars Repairs and replaces of glass, tile, screens, locks, drapes. Assists in removal of snow and ice as needed. Assists in small office moves. Carries out preventative maintenance tasks as assigned. Participates in the on-call rotation for emergency situations such as inclement weather or mechanical failures. Contributes to sustaining and enhancing an inclusive working and learning environment.
