Facilities Technician
The Technician is responsible for the handling, consolidating and processing of hazardous and non-hazardous waste materials received by the Processing Facilities. The Technician must display a focus on safety and efficiency in a team environment while performing moderately labour intensive and repetitious tasks.

Key Responsibilities:

Oily and Clean Trash Collection: Collect 55-gallon oily trash drums, incoming oily trash, spot requests, and empty aerosol containers throughout the Baytown Refinery daily. Collect 55-gallon clean trash drums at the Baytown Refinery and Baytown Chemical Plant daily, and manage placement and collection of turnaround containers during peak events.

•Waste Drum Management: Pick up hazardous and non-hazardous waste drums, and deliver them to the appropriate waste storage warehouses (90-day for BTR and SWAB for BTC).

•Aerosol Can Handling: Sort, puncture aerosol cans, and manage associated tasks.

•Turnaround and Facility Support: Provide turnaround assistance, such as helping with flobins, and perform duties at the 90-Day and SWAB facilities as needed. 

•Operational and Safety Duties: Maintain training on all applicable EOPs, Site Procedures, and JLAs; operate forklifts, vehicles, and backhoes safely; inspect work truck daily; and dump out the Hooper of the sanitary at the designated location.



Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• 2 years of industrial/plant experience.
• Self-motivated attitude.

• Valid Drivers License.
