Facilities Technician

Key Responsibilities:

As a Facilities Technician, you will:

Set-up, operate, and shutdown machines.Perform daily and routine maintenance on machines. Provide excellent facilities-related services to the business unit.Provide snow clearing and ice treatment services during business hours and as required.Assist the Facility Lead on preventative and corrective maintenance of manufacturing equipment, auxiliaries and other capital equipment.Assist the Facility Lead with cosmetic building repairs, basic general mechanical maintenance, and repairs on plumbing systems, compressors, pumps, air conditioning equipment, HVAC systems, etc.Assist the Facility Lead with installing, repairing, and maintaining the inspection and maintenance of general equipment, building systems and/or components.Manage and prioritize facilities task requests, ensuring prompt and efficient resolution.  Proactively maintain facilities-related equipment to prevent issues and downtime.Communicate the status of task requests clearly and effectively.Assist with creating and implementing processes to enhance and preserve the aesthetics of our facilities, both internally and externally.Other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:

To excel in this role, you should possess:

A strong mechanical aptitudeSolid electro-mechanical skills, enabling you to tackle diverse maintenance challenges.Ability to work both independently and collaboratively as part of a team.Excellent communication and technical writing skills, coupled with strong analytical abilities.Formal technical training in facilities maintenance or mechanical field preferred.2 years of facilities maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment preferred.

Working Environment:

Physical Demands: You should be physically fit and capable of safely handling materials weighing up to 50lbs without risking injury to yourself or others.

Mental Demands: This position requires an above-average degree of attention and adaptability in an environment where interruptions may occur.

Working Conditions: While the working environment is generally clean, you may be exposed to occasional dust, grease, and heat. Personal protection gear is mandatory in safety-sensitive areas, while casual attire is suitable otherwise.
