The Facilities Technician is responsible for conducting general maintenance and repairs on facility equipment and property structures. They ensure that the premises are maintained at the highest standards to provide a functional and safe environment for employees and clients.  This role works a 3x12 shift (3-days a week, 12-hours/day and is eligible to receive pay for 40/hours per week).  The scheduled shift for this role is Friday - Sunday, 6:00AM - 6:00PM.  

 

Your Role and Responsibilities:

Review and manage Facilities/R&M Service Tickets to ensure timely completion of scheduled preventative maintenance and repair work on facility and production systems. Maintain, diagnose, and repair site HVAC systems, associated electrical and plumbing systems, and building management systems. Conduct daily facility rounds and inspections, reporting on conditions affecting site operations. Oversee and ensure proper execution of tasks by Field Service and equipment maintenance contractors on all site systems. Respond promptly to site events or emergencies, as required by a 24/7/365 operational schedule. Prepare and update reports detailing building conditions or equipment issues, providing root cause analysis and recommending preventative measures. Act as a proactive self-starter by learning from OEM Manuals to become the SME for all assigned site equipment regarding operational and service practices. Develop expertise in site safety and infrastructure by reviewing OEM manuals, with a focus on BMS, fire/life safety, and other ancillary safety systems. Demonstrate exemplary behavior by adhering to Heraeus EHS safety procedures and standards. Ensure and uphold compliance with all applicable federal, local, and state ordinances and regulations.

 

Your Profile:

High school diploma or equivalent; EPA 608 Technician Certification preferred. 3 – 4 years of experience in a related field with a strong track record. A keen eye for detail and a strong capacity for planning and systematic review. Comprehensive knowledge and hands-on experience of HVAC, plumbing, and electrical systems maintenance. Proficient in reading and interpreting mechanical blueprints and electrical schematics. Solid mechanical, welding, and electrical skills and aptitudes. Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to forge effective relationships with contractors and Heraeus personnel. Strong time management skills with an emphasis on punctuality and meeting targeted deadlines. Basic Project Management skills and experience, with a focus on delivering results.
