Facilities Technician

Responsible for the overall operation and maintenance of utilities and facilities, including air compressors, chillers, HVAC systems, cleanroom, exhaust systems, and scrubbers, to support manufacturing operations.
What will you be doing?
Responsible for operating, monitoring, and maintaining utilities and facilities equipment, including air compressors, chillers, HVAC systems, cleanroom, WWTP, purified water systems, exhaust systems, and scrubbers, while ensuring compliance with site safety and GMP procedures. Also supports equipment qualifications, including walk-downs, punch lists, commissioning, and IQ/OQ/PQ processes during the plant startup phase. Additionally, tasks include executing work orders and detailing completed jobs through the SAP system.
Coordinates with contractors, vendors, and service providers to do necessary work while adhering to HSE policies, sustainability initiatives, and relevant regulations. Ensures the prevention of safety and health risks, environmental pollution, and energy wastage, while reporting all HSE incidents and contributing to improvements. Actively participates in continuous improvement projects and takes responsibility for implementing improvements within the facilities' operations.
Demonstrates the ability to work independently on shifts, guides junior technicians, and fulfils additional responsibilities as assigned by the manager. This role requires flexibility to work on a rotating shift schedule.
What will you need to be successful?
Candidates should hold a diploma or technical certificate in Mechanical, Electrical & Instrumentation, Chemical, Automation, or an equivalent field. A Certified Chargeman (low voltage) qualification is an added advantage. Preferred candidates will have at least 2 years of hands-on technical experience in industries such as Food, Pharma, Chemical, Petrochemical, or Semiconductor plantsand strong knowledge of Building Management Systems (BMS).
The role requires proficiency in general PC skills, good communication, and interpersonal abilities to connect with individuals across different organizational levels and coordinate breakdown repairs. The position involves minimal travel, less than 10%.
