The Facilities Technician will be responsible for maintaining an environment of care which provides a safe, functional, and clean treatment facility for patients, visitors, and staff. Ensures all critical, life safety and equipment systems are maintained to ensure their most efficient operational readiness.
Exceptional Skills and Qualifications
Applicants for this position should be able to provide a working knowledge of maintenance principles, theories, and operations. Knowledge of basic hand and power tools. Good oral and written communications skills – including reading and writing skills at a high school graduate level. Ability to work with peers in a team situation.
Six months minimum experience in electrical, mechanical, or related maintenance experience. Must have high school diploma or GED. Licensure is NOT required for the Maintenance Technician. Performs preventive maintenance on hospital equipment and systems. Operates a broad variety of hospital equipment and systems. Performs construction tasks for furnishings equipment and systems. Responsible for maintenance parts and material inventory to ensure maintenance functions can be completed. Serves as a maintenance resource to monitor the operation status and condition of hospital equipment and systems. Serves as a maintenance source to monitor the operating status and condition of equipment and systems. Responds to customer needs concerning hospital systems or operations and communicates with supervisor. Maintains and completes maintenance journals, logs, and time sheets daily
