We have an opportunity for **Facilities Technician I** based in **Scarborough, Maine.** In this role you will, perform routine repairs and maintenance on facilities and facility-related equipment. This role will include, but not be limited to, work involving one or more of the following trades: carpentry, electrical, plumbing, HVAC/refrigeration repair and installation. **Rotating Schedule: 12 Hour Shift: 5:30 PM to 6:00 AM.** **RESPONSIBILITIES:** + Repair building structures, fixtures, and furniture. + Renovate facilities, including walls, doors windows, flooring, etc. + Assists in packing, moving, and reconfiguring the facility, including office and manufacturing areas. + Escort and assist outside vendors in the performance of their contractual obligations. + Maintain work records. + Maintain inventory of spare parts and materials + Respond to alarm or trouble calls as required. + Perform and document routine maintenance actions + Perform and document assigned workorder requests + Perform other duties as assigned. **EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE YOU’LL BRING** + High School Diploma or general education degree (GED), or equivalent combination of education and experience. **PREFERRED** + Prior experience in a Facilities role + Prior Trades experience + Troubleshooting experience **COMPETENCIES:** + Ability to prioritize problems and projects effectively ensuring that operation, appearance, and upkeep of the facility are maintained at a high standard. + Basic mechanical and electrical aptitude. + Ability to safely and effectively repair and upgrade facility as needed. + Ability to follow directions and project plans. + Ability to interact with customers in a polite, courteous manner and provide feedback on progress and or challenges. + Basic computer skills. **WHAT WE OFFER** + At Abbott, you can have a good job that can grow into a great career.
