Job Summary

This position is an entry level position in the Facilities Engineering department. Associate will be expected to perform maintenance on equipment and plant facilities to ensure functional accuracy and completeness, under the guidance and direction of Senior / Lead Facilities Engineers.

 

Job Details/Responsibilities

1.    Associate is responsible to follow requirements of TMC Quality System; including but not limited to: process controls, calibration and maintenance procedures, document/data control, and change control practices. 
2.    Assist Facilities Technicians with Troubleshooting, repair, maintain and perform preventative maintenance on building systems and facility equipment including water system, fire and security system, air compressors, HVAC systems, Mechanical systems, plumbing systems and electrical systems as well as other facility related equipment etc.
3.    Comply with EPA and OSHA for hazardous waste control and disposal.
4.    Comply with Federal, state and local regulations for maintaining water and sewer system.
5.    Assure that all preventative maintenance and assigned work is completed.
6.    Perform daily inspections of facilities infrastructure systems including documentation of log books.
7.    Perform general repairs and work order requests.
8.    Assist facility personnel in other disciplines as needed
9.    Prepare and maintain logs, monthly reports, inventory reports, etc., as needed.
10.    Participate in project performance team meetings on behalf of the job unit in order to provide ideas, methods or processes for unit/company performance improvement.
11.    Perform other job related duties as assigned.  


 

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities (KSA)   Ability to read blueprints, schematic drawings, electronic symbols, hydraulic operations, etc.  Basic understanding of welding, plumbing, HVAC, refrigeration, electrical, water systems, carpentry, compressed air, etc.  Computer and record-keeping knowledge is necessary. Knowledge of OSHA, EPA, federal, state and local regulations.  Verbal and written communication skills and good organizational ability. Ability to perform work at elevated heights including the use of aerial lifts, booms, scaffolds, ladders and platforms. Qualifications/ Background Experiences High school diploma / GED required.  Associates Degree or Trade School Certificate in industrial building maintenance field or specialized trade
