The Opportunity

This position works out of our Zona Franca Coyol Alajuela, Building B31 location in the Vascular Division. 

As the Facilities Technician II, you’ll have the chance to maintains facilities systems and equipment in order to provide a safe, efficient and comfortable workplace. Responsibilities include operation, repair, and preventative maintenance of all building facilities and equipment; move and installation of equipment and or furniture; and other related duties.

What You’ll Do

Responsible for compliance with applicable corporate, divisional and site policies and procedures.

Performs routine repairs and maintenance of plant and/or office facilities and equipment by using hand or power tools as required.

Makes routine, periodic, or special inspections to determine repair and maintenance work necessary to prevent breakdowns of facilities, machinery, and equipment.

Works with manufacturing or process engineering in the installation or repair of building plumbing and wiring required in the production process.

Comply with the necessary documentation for all the preventive and demand maintenance activities, in order to corroborate the completion of the maintenance duties.

Keeping working areas clean, organized and with satisfactory safety conditions. Maintain in perfect conditions the workshop tools and equipment use for maintenance activities. Responsible for the equipment and tools personally assigned.

Shift Night Compressed [First week Wednesday to Saturday, second week Thursday to Saturday, from 6pm to 6:00am]

This is an On Site position

Required Qualifications

Technical degree:  electrical, electromechanical,  mechanical

2-5 year of experience

Desirable experience in documentation and good manufacturing practices.

Desirable knowledge of medical industry and controlled environments.

Two-year degree or some college credits preferred

Basic English level

Preferred Qualifications

Basic knowledge in electronical, pneumatics and mechanics.

Basic English knowledge, ability to read and interpret technical documentation.

Focus on internal client service.

Ability to work under pressure.

Knowledge of Windows environment, Internet, Microsoft Office, mainly Excel.
