Facilities technician (12-month fixed term contract)

Monday – Friday (8 hour shifts)

 

This is an exciting opportunity to join our Oakthorpe Dairy as part of the Maintenance & engineering team. Here you will contribute to the ongoing success of one of key sites and maintain high standards across a building fabric.

 

How will you impact 

As part of the site maintenance team, reporting to the M&E specialist, your key responsibilities will be to achieve high levels for maintenance, continuous improvement and area standards.

Conducts corrective maintenance of building fabrications. Routine daily utility checks/operation. H&S adhered to and improved across site. Permit issuing and contractor control. Area standards maintained to audit level. Challenges current processes and practices to identify new opportunities.

 

Specific tasks of the Role:

Site wide buildings maintenance. Providing cover within maintenance sub departments, this to include running of effluent treatment plant. Completes and updates plant maintenance records complying with all departmental procedures. Assist in requirements for Engineering Forklift tasks

 

Grow with Arla

Skilled in buildings maintenance. Background of maintaining equipment within a services/utilities environment preferable Has to be able to demonstrate competencies in the area of: Strong health and safety awareness. Excellent hands-on skills Good oral and written communication skills
