Facilities Technology Transfer - Lead

Micron Technology, Inc. is seeking a Team Lead for Facilities Technology Transfer within our Facilities Department. Based in Boise, this role offers an outstanding chance to influence the future of facilities technology, ensuring our world-class facilities operate flawlessly and sustainably.

Safety & Quality:Completes all required safety training and conducts all work in accordance with Micron and Technology Development (TD) safety policiesStops work for safety if unsafe conditions and/or behaviors are identifiedUses and reviews job hazard analysis (JHA/JSA) for work being performedFollows all safety and environmental procedures to ensure compliance with applicable laws including PPE, CoHE (lockout /tagout) and chemical safetyFollows-up on safety and quality related issues immediately and works towards resolution with customersActively participates in the EHS program by reporting all EHS-related concerns or problems immediately (maximum 24 hours)Performs and facilitates audits and submits good catchesAlways wears appropriate PPE, per JHA, supervisor, EHS professionals, and/or job designationProactively finds opportunities to reduce potential hazards which may impact personnel health and/or the environmentFollows proper organizational change practices to ensure safety and quality expectations are metDrives quality improvement initiatives in their area to reduce Fab impacts, improve efficiency and identify cost savings

Communication & Collaboration:Ensures appropriate communication with facilities and manufacturing customersPartners with key customers to develop solutions to continuously improve critical metrics and future process introductionCollaborates with areas leaders to create personal performance and development goals for department and direct reportsAttends and participates in meetings and provides relevant technical guidancePartners with customers and Engineering and Operations to understand impact of changesPartners with customers and supporting departments to define tool set, requirements and cost of transfer, safety and Environmental issues for new production toolsPartners with Facilities Industrial/capacity planning engineers to create templates and utility database capable of providing specific utility matrix for each technology transferDevelops and maintains user documentation for new technology transfer and defined communication methods to transfer this information to receiving sitesPartners in data collection, gap analysis, and improvement implementationListens to customer feedback, recognizes opportunities and provides feedback for technical innovationCommunicates highly complex information to internal and external contactsMentors less experienced team members and enables on-boarding for new hiresWrites and completes performance evaluations and builds/communicates plans to increase direct reports capabilities

Project Management/Planning:Uses a systematic project management methodology to develop, prioritize and manage projectsManages projects to ensure results are completed within the required scope, schedule and budgetTracks actions and provides partner concern path or resources to ensure actions will be completed on timeDefines and leads complex, multi-disciplinary projects of critical importance to MicronCollaborates with customers on the design and coordination of projectsPrepares project scope and ensures necessary guidance from appropriate customersEnsures that scope meets requester needsCoordinates and leads meetings and initiates follow-up actionsProvides support for the design and specifications for new facilities infrastructureProvides support for cost and schedule estimates and justification for approvalFollows organizational change proceduresHelps to shape strategic decisions and provides technical supportDevelops set data storage areas to gather, document and store data for each Technology Transfer

Technical/Data Analysis:Analyzes systems data to make critical decisions, improve performance, gain efficiency, and drive cost savingsAnalyzes production tool and new technology utility requirements and first-of-a-kind materials that may impact facilities, safety and/or environmentEnsures engagement with manufacturing during technology transferPartners with customers to push out Facilities requirements for technology transfersProvides effective and timely guidance to resolve issues and is highly engaged in key problem resolutionProvides fixing support for complex problems and addresses root causeSupports risk and/or failure mode and effects analysisEliminates single points of failure and mitigates riskProvides consultation and technical support to Operations, Maintenance, Manufacturing and other department/sitesProvides engineering support to ensure facility compliance with federal, state, and local lawsSupports corporate requests and assignmentsDevelops and maintains user documentation and communication methods for new technology transferCreates templates and utility databases that support specific utility matrixes during technology transfersSupports benchmark activities on operational, procedural, engineering, facilities systemsMaintains applicable field knowledge, such as technology transfer theory, etc.Drives a culture of TPM including TPM metrics, CIP items, MTAGs, and proceduresApplies standard engineering principles and practicesUses administrative and engineering databases in support of job tracking, engineering data, capital equipment facilitation, and critical system loads and capacitiesPerforms research and development on emerging facilities technologies to support innovative semiconductor processesEnsures safety is considered in all aspects of design, enhancement, modification and process

Minimum Qualifications:Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Data Science, Engineering, Semiconductor, or related field of studyProven experience in facilities engineering and technology transferSolid understanding of semiconductor industry standards and practicesSophisticated PC skills including a familiarity with MS Office Word, Excel, PPT, SAP, Autodesk and coding programsDemonstrated ability to collaborate efficiently with diverse teams

Preferred Qualifications:10+ years of experience and 3 years of management experienceExcellent communication and interpersonal skillsOutstanding problem-solving and analytical skills
