**Job Requirements for Local Class A Vacuum Tanker Driver:**
+ **Requirements** :
+ Class A CDL
+ Hazmat and Tanker endorsements
+ 1+ year with vacuum tank experience preferred
+ Primarily hauling vacuum tankers with occasional dry van work
+ Proficiency in operating a wet kit with a vacuum truck
+ **Hours** :
+ First shift Monday-Friday schedule
+ 10-12 hour shifts, totaling 60+ hours per week
+ Hours: M-F, 5 AM - 5 PM (Overtime, out-of-town, and weekend work possible)
+ Time and a half after 8hrs in a day
+ Double-time pay for hours over 12 in a day
+ **Location:** Wilmington, CA **Pay:** $27 - $34 per hour DOE
+ **Travel** :
+ Primary routes are home nightly
+ Regional overnight layovers required occasionally
Clean Harbors in Wilmington, CA is seeking a **Class A CDL Driver** to operate a variety of heavy and light-duty trucks and work equipment at customer sites. Vehicles may include vacuum trucks, Cruscos, guzzlers, and roll-offs. This position involves performing driving and non-driving duties both on and off customer sites related to hazardous waste clean-up.

**Key Responsibilities:**
+ Ensure Health and Safety is the number one priority by complying with all safe work practices, policies, and processes and always acting in a safe manner.
+ Operate commercial trucks and assist field laborers when needed (team atmosphere where everyone helps).
+ Operate a variety of Class A trucks.
+ Load and unload trucks.
+ Perform manual labor on-site to meet customer needs.
+ Properly placard vehicles to meet Company and DOT requirements/regulations.
+ Maintain daily logs, time sheets, and various reports.
+ Follow all local, state, and federal compliance regulations and rules.
+ Safely operate vehicles in accordance with U.S. DOT, local, state, and federal requirements.
+ Safely observe all corporate operating guidelines and procedures.
+ Observe all company environmental health and safety operating guidelines.
+ Perform other duties as assigned.
+ Ability to be on call for emergency response on a rotating basis every other week (if applicable).
+ Handle site remediation, equipment decontamination, and hazardous materials as needed.
**Required Qualifications:**
+ Valid Class A CDL with tanker, trailer, and hazmat endorsements.
+ Ability to use various mobile devices.
+ Ability to perform physical functions as per job requirements.
+ Successful completion of a background check, drug test, and physical (by position).
+ Must comply with OSHA's Respiratory Protection Standard (29 CFR 1910.34) by meeting facial hair standards for positions requiring respirators.
**Preferred Qualifications:**
+ Commercial driver experience.
+ Hazmat and tanker endorsements.
+ Previous Hazmat experience.
+ Ability to operate a manual transmission.
+ Previous manual labor experience.
