Job Description
This position is based in Anchorage and will primarily perform deep cleaning and painting services to facilities throughout Alaska. Position is part-time and involves non-traditional schedules with overnight stays.
Responsibilities
Sweeps, mops, scrubs, strips, extract, waxes, buff, vacuums, etc. all types of floors.
Cleans carpets, windows, and other building areas and surfaces.
Dusts both low and high areas using ladders and lifts.
Wipes down or cleans various surfaces to include walls and ceilings.
Prepares drywall for paint.
Applies paint to facility walls, doors, and ceilings.
Uses appropriate equipment and cleaning solutions for all tasks.
Removes and properly disposes of discarded materials.
Removes and transports trash to the appropriate disposal areas.
May change light bulbs and perform very light facility maintenance.
May operate a vehicle
Position requires routine weekly, overnight stays within the State of Alaska with travel by aircraft
Other related duties may also be assigned.
Qualifications
High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
Working knowledge of cleaning equipment and general cleaning processes. Experience in facility maintenance and painting preferred
A valid Alaskan driver’s license with an acceptable driving record for the past three (3) years to be eligible under company vehicle insurance policy.
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
Working Conditions and Physical Requirements
Work is both indoors and outdoors. The employee is occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions; high, precarious places; fumes or airborne particles; toxic or caustic chemicals; outside weather conditions; extreme cold; and vibration.
Physical requirements:
The employee must be able and willing to fly in small aircraft.
The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds, and may occasionally lift and/or move more than 100 pounds.
Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.

The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.

Language skills sufficient to:
Read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
Write routine reports and correspondence.
Math skills sufficient to:
Add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
Reasoning abilities sufficient to:
Solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization
Exists. Interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
