PgP5 Plant is Bosch Group’s newest expansion in Malaysia a semiconductor test site in Batu Kawan Penang. The construction has begun in May 2021 and first series of production to commence in 2023. With the long-term forecasts for growth of semiconductor component quantities, coupled with the front-end production in Bosch’s Dresden facility in Germany, capacity expansion is required for the back-end production, which is the final testing phase of semiconductors and sensors. PgP5 will primarily focus on the final testing of components manufactured at Bosch Automotive Electronics’ fab in Dresden, Germany. The plant will also house R&D and training facilities.

The successful candidate is responsible for smooth operations and maintenance of Wet Mechanical Systems installed at our site (inclusive of Chiller systems, Process Chilled Water systems, Air compressor systems, Air handling and conditioning units, Domestic water systems, Waste water systems, DI-water systems, Cooling towers).Responsible in making sure ZERO Facilities interruption contributed by mechanical systems to factory, which in return reduces manufacturing downtime.To lead mechanical projects and requests from internal customers.Responsible in executing mechanical system improvement projects inclusive of budget planning. Participation in all Quality audits such as ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001, ISO 50001 & TS16949 and CIP improvement activities. Responsible in Supervising facilities operations day to day activity.

 

Job Description

 

Ensure all mechanical systems design; installation, troubleshooting and maintenance is following Bosch safety requirement, guideline, and local regulatory requirements.FCM mechanical project management: Conduct project management with excellent quality of work, cost control and on time delivery. Responsible to update project status during weekly meetings and responsible to submit weekly report to your supervisor.Responsible for FCM Mechanical HVAC System management, including capacity management, maintenance, trouble shooting, technical support, upgrading and improvement. Zero Interruption to Production (ITP) is expected.To work closely with Site Safety Officer (HSE) and DH in ensuring safe work practice is always practiced in Bosch. Responsible for safety checking of mechanical system maintenance, system safety.To make sure all mechanical projects have a proper RFQ and scope which is agreed by customer. Changes in RFQ are to be acknowledged by customer. Facility acceptance test need to be conducted after each project and agreed by customer.Owner of Mechanical system reliability, capacity, and up time control.  Develop and define mechanical system KPI. Also responsible in updating monthly system uptime, Preventive Maintenance (PM) completion, Capacity, Corrective Maintenance (CM) status and cost spending of the system. Responsible to order and keep sufficient critical Spare parts on site for all mechanical systems.To be proxy for machine hook-upsTo co-own mechanical system local regulatory permits. To ensure permits are in compliance with government rules and regulation and valid at all times.Involvement in all Internal and External audits. Ensure all OPL’s related to this audit is closed on a timely manner.To coordinate all external contractors in their work, safeguard the compliance of health, safety, and environmental obligations.Work hand in hand with consultant or other FCM coordinator in mechanical system improvement.Responsible to identify and drive energy conservation projects related to mechanical systems.Responsible to work closely with respective departments to resolve all FCM HVAC system related issues. Support and work towards achieving the departmental goals.To attended and complete to any other duties assigned by the immediate Superior from time to time. Responsible to support facilities urgent calls or call back when required.

QualificationsBachelors of Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Electrical EngineeringA minimum of 5 years working experience is required preferable in a manufacturing facilities environmentStrong communication and interpersonal skillsBe flexible, responsible and matured in decision making & good senses or urgencyMeticulous, result oriented, motivated, resourceful, self-starter, ability to meet tight deadlines and work independentlyAbility to communicate to all levels of management, and cross functionally with business partnersMechanical/HVAC planning and project lead in Mechanical system and HVAC maintenanceBuilding maintenance management skill & Preventive maintenance and facilities system trouble shooting.
