Ensures general facility maintenance and operational effectiveness throughout the manufacturing facility spaces, in keeping with regulatory and company guidelines.
Key Responsibilities:
• Check general area conditions of floors and walls, and make any needed repairs, including painting
• Set up office meeting facilities for scheduled meetings, including setting chairs and ensuring all required presentation materials are in place and ready, as needed
• Perform routine pest control of facility, including setting, checking, and cleaning internal and external traps across the facility, including coordinating with and checking work of contractors
• General plumbing maintenance across the facility as required, including bathrooms, break rooms, clean rooms, sinks, and other water distribution pipes
• Assist in more complex specialized maintenance, as needed to ensure safety of workers
• Drain lines leading into clean room, which include HVAC and compressed air systems
• Review, follow and perform job functions in compliance with established work instructions and adherence with SOPs, including accessing and documenting maintenance actions in records.
• On time arrival to work, regular attendance without excessive absenteeism, and working a full 8 hour or longer work period
• Other duties as assigned by leadership
Education and Experience:
H.S. Diploma or equivalent No previous related experience Required
working knowledge of plumbing and general facility maintenance Preferred
Additional Skills:
• Able to read, comprehend and speak English, a plus
• Adhere to Edwards Environmental Health and Safety and Quality guidelines as they relate to department clean room medical device manufacturing
• Must be able to work with minimum supervision by following work instructions
• Work in a Team environment
• Adhere to all company rules and requirements (e.g., pandemic protocols, Environmental Health & Safety rules) and take adequate control measures in preventing injuries to themselves and others as well as to the protection of environment and prevention of pollution under their span of influence/control
