We are seeking an experienced Facility Maintenance Manager to oversee operations at USPS IT Data. The successful candidate will ensure contract compliance, optimize facility performance, and deliver excellent customer service while managing a team and subcontractors.
This position involves maintaining highly specialized IT infrastructure and mechanical systems, including precision cooling systems, backup power equipment, and general facility systems. The Facility Maintenance Manager will work independently under minimal supervision, reporting to a Program Manager based in another location.

What You’ll Do:
Ensure compliance with all federal, state, local, and corporate policies, regulations, and safety requirements.Manage site-specific maintenance activities for IT Data Centers.Oversee maintenance of critical IT infrastructure, including:Uninterruptible Power Supply (UPS) systems: Inspection, testing, and maintenance to ensure seamless power backup.Precision cooling systems: (CRAC units, liquid cooling systems): Maintain optimal temperature and humidity for IT equipment.Backup generators: Conduct load tests, fuel system checks, and general servicing to ensure reliability.Fire suppression systems: Inspect and maintain clean agent systems (e.g., FM-200, Novec 1230).General facility systems: Chillers, cooling towers, boilers, security systems, and pest control.Develop and implement site-specific safety plans and cultivate a zero-accident culture.Serve as the primary point of contact for customers, ensuring timely communication and resolution of issues.Evaluate schedules to prevent conflicts and ensure timely completion of maintenance and repair activities.Identify the need for subcontractors, coordinate requirements, and verify their performance against subcontract terms.Prepare and submit detailed reports documenting maintenance activities and performance metrics.Respond to urgent and emergency situations promptly and efficiently.What You’ll Bring:
High School DiplomaMinimum 5 years’ experience in mechanical maintenance, including IT-related infrastructure, IT data centers, as well as, knowledge of precision cooling systems, UPS systems, backup generators, and fire suppression systems.Proven expertise in maintaining centrifugal chillers, cooling towers, and boilers.Strong mechanical and electrical skills.Ability to supervise subcontractors and ensure compliance with safety and quality standards.Possess excellent oral and written communication skills.Strong customer service skills and the ability to maintain positive client relationships.Possess and maintain a valid US driver’s license and must meet minimum state requirements for vehicle insurance.Must be proficient in English, both written and verbal, to ensure effective communication and collaboration.Successful results of Versar and client preemployment screenings, including federal background check, MVR, and drug screen.Comply with company drug and alcohol policy.Be authorized to work in the US or will be authorized by the successful candidate’s start date.Compensation
Expected Salary: $75,000 - $80,000 per year

The position will primarily work onsite in Raleigh, NC.
