Facility Maintenance Technician

Position Summary

The Facility Maintenance team member will be responsible for all repairs associated with building and grounds for the Production Facility as well as the Sales and Marketing building.

Food Safety

The Facility Maintenance team member is responsible for supporting, executing, and/or maintaining food safety and quality practices as required through SQF. The position ensures the efforts towards facility cleanliness, product quality, and food safety standards are met.

NOTE: Report all Food Safety, Safety and Quality concerns to your immediate supervisor. If you cannot contact your immediate supervisor, contact a Quality Assurance Team Member.

Essential Functions

·     Plumbing repairs and installations (including waste water system, storm drainage, bathroom fixtures, and drains).

·     Ceiling tile repairs and installation (including light bulb replacement and exhaust fan repair).

·     Grounds repair (sprinklers, outside lighting, parking lot striping, curbs, fire lanes, etc.).

·     Walls and support structure repair and replacement (including freezer/cooler racks, painting, etc.).

·     Doors and lock repairs (lubrication, replacement, and checking for proper operation).

·     Office furniture repair and new installations.

·     Preserves structures, machinery, and equipment using wire brushes, sanders and approved paint.

·     HVAC upkeep and repair (including filter changes, defrosting, ducting repairs).

·     Perform other related duties and special assignments as required or assigned by Supervisor.

Essential Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

·     Certificate of completion of HVAC School

·     High School Diploma or GED.

·     1-2 years knowledge of electrical controls for HVAC requirements.

·     1-2 years knowledge of HVAC.

·     1-2 years’ experience in Facility maintenance.

·     Knowledge of proper lubrication application(s).

·     Must have thorough knowledge of shop tools and hand tools.

·     Ability to use, develop, and document machinery/equipment SOPs.

·     Proven team leadership skills and experience. Ability to interact with team members, customers, and vendors in a positive and professional manner.

·     Bilingual a plus.

Nonessential Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

·     Electrical troubleshooting and schematic reading a plus.

·     Welding skills in MIG, TIG, and arc welding.

Documents and Procedures

·     Safety Rules, GMPs, Maintenance Logs, PMs, Maintenance Work Orders.

·     Personal Protective Equipment – PPE.

Physical Demands and Work Environment

·     Must be able to travel throughout Production areas and stoop, kneel and crawl in small spaces.

·     Must be able to work weekends and overtime.

·     Office and factory environment, including refrigerated warehouses.

·     Must be able to push, pull, and lift occasional heavy loads (50lbs. or more).

·     Must be able to operate a fork truck and sky lift.

·     Must be able to climb ladders.

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS:
The starting rate for this full-time, hourly position is $30.00.
 

Individual base pay depends on work location and additional factors such as experience, job-related skills, and relevant education or training. Total pay may include other forms of compensation. In addition, we offer competitive health, dental, 401k and wellness benefits beginning on the first day of employment.
