✨Join a group of passionate advocates on our mission to improve the lives of youth!  Rite of Passage Team is hiring for a Maintenance Worker at Lava Heights Academy in Toquerville, Utah✨   Lava Heights Academy is a residential treatment program that provides a safe, supportive and nurturing environment for vulnerable young women who are referred from juvenile courts and social service agencies both locally and across the country. The youth enter the program with a history of abuse, neglect, trauma, substance abuse, mental illness and violence. They graduate from Falcon Ridge Ranch as educated young women who have overcome challenges and have demonstrated making healthy choices for themselves and for their future.    Pay: $18 per hour.   Perks & Benefits: Medical, Dental, Vision and company paid Life Insurance within 90 days, and 401k match of up to 6% after 1 year of employment, Paid Time Off that can be used as soon as it accrues and more! ROP-benefits-and-perks-2   What you will do: The Maintenance worker provides general building maintenance, changing light bulbs, minor electrical repairs, repairing drywall, painting, paneling, wallpapering, sheetrock work, hanging doors, adjusting locks and door hardware, fixing or replacing broken windows and screens, hanging pictures, minor plumbing repairs, unplugging drains, replacing leaky washers, re-lighting, replacing and adjusting heaters and controls, maintaining smoke detectors and emergency lights, maintaining and installing swamp coolers/air conditioners, replacing floor tiles, carpeting and linoleum, repairing roofing, grounds maintenance/irrigation if needed, new construction, etc.   To be considered you should: ~ Be at least 21 years of age ~ Possess a high school diploma or equivalent ~ 2 to 5 years of experience in facility maintenance and/or construction required ~ Must meet the requirements to be an eligible ROP driver.  Must possess a current State Driver’s License and have an acceptable driving record for the past three (3) years ~ Be able to pass a criminal background check, drug screen, physical, and TB test ~ Be able to pass a search of the child abuse central registry.   Schedule: Monday – Friday ~ 7:00 am – 4:00 pm   Apply today and Make a Difference in the Lives of Youth!   After 40 years of improving the lives of youth, we are looking for passionate advocates to continue the legacy of helping young people become successful adults.
