Job Description
Position Summary Responsible for maintenance and facility management on the New Richmond facility. Lead, direct and supervise the work in the general maintenance and upkeep of buildings, grounds, and equipment. Responsible for maintaining electrical, plumbing, mechanical, and related systems. Manages complex projects involving significant spend and budget constraints. Makes and recommends spend decisions for equipment, repairs, renovations, and projects. This role works closely with site HSE representative to ensure Health, Safety and Environmental requirements are followed.
This position is onsite at the New Richmond, WI facility.
Essential Functions:
Plans and directs the daily activities of the maintenance department through effective delegation.Develop and drive Key Performance Indicators (KPI’s) ensuring site vision, strategy, policies and processes are followed.Coordinates or installs, inspects repairs and maintains the electrical, plumbing, mechanical and other related systems and inspects work for completeness.Coordinates or inspects, operates and maintains the heating, cooling, and ventilation systems and inspects work for completeness.Coordinates renovations and general repairs of existing facilities and the construction of new facilities.Complies, adheres to and promotes Syntegon HSE policies and procedures.Responds to unplanned operational or maintenance events (including emergency situations). These events may occur outside of normal working hours. (i.e. weekends, evenings)Manages maintenance backlog.Teaches and enforces safety regulations including safe operation of all tools and equipment; provides training to associates as needed; including non-maintenance personnel.Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable laws.Ensures compliance with applicable federal and/or state laws, regulations, and/or agency rules, standards and guidelines, local city ordinances, etc.Obtains and documents quotes/bids, evaluates proposals for specification compliance and makes recommendation of award.Supervises and coordinates all maintenance service and repairs pertaining to building and related equipment.Determines and implements all maintenance and general procurement of materials and parts, schedules installations and oversees that such repairs are accomplished in a safe and timely manner.Maintains accurate records with regard to annual inspection of equipment and general preventative maintenance.Makes and recommends spend decisions for equipment, repairs, renovations, and projects.Responsible for the New Richmond facility maintenance budget.Establishes and maintains working relationships with numerous contractors and inspectors.Establishes and maintains working relationships with all departments within the organization.Observes all safety regulations.Supports Syntegon’s improvement initiatives.Special assignments as assigned by supervisor.Supervisory Responsibilities:

QualificationsEducation and Experience Requirements:
Associates degree with technical training in plant engineering, or factory/plant maintenance.Minimum 10 years supervisory experience with knowledge of building and electrical codes.Excellent communication and coaching skillsProficient computer skills in spreadsheets, databases and word processingDetail oriented and organizedAbility to manage a variety of cross-functional teams and cross-department projectsCompetent in problem solving, team building, planning and decision makingStrong electrical, hydraulic and machining background with HVAC knowledge is essential. Electrical training/certificationAbility to trouble-shoot and manage multiple complicated priorities/tasks/projects.Familiarity with OSHA regulations and all current health and safety regulationsFamiliarity with ISO 9001, 14001, 45001Knowledge of applicable State and Federal regulations relating to the assigned facility including local building codes, city policies, MOUs, and Administrative Regulations.Ability to interface with all types of mechanical and construction workers and knowledgeable in all phases of construction and building maintenance.Successful completion of an accredited management training program a plus.Physical Requirements:
Position requires the ability to stand; sit at desk; walking around site; lifting/carrying; utilizing fine dexterity, reaching, kneeling, crawling and twisting to inspect equipment.Must be able to lift up to 30 lbs. (above 30 lbs. with assistance) and work in any position for an extended period of time.Ability to see; hear; and communicate with associatesWork environment involves daily exposure to physical risks: mechanical, chemical and electrical hazards. The expected compensation range for this position is between $110,000.00 to 135,000.00 based on a full-time schedule.
Compensation for roles at Syntegon varies depending on a wide array of non-discriminatory factors including but not limited to the specific office location, role, degree/credentials, relevant skill set, and level of relevant experience. At Syntegon compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. Total rewards at Syntegon include salary + bonus (if applicable) + benefits.
