OVERVIEW:
We are seeking a dependable and experienced Facility Manager to join our team. Your primary responsibilities will be the overall operations and safety of the facility.
ResponsibilitiesRESPONSIBLITIES:
Make operational decisions within the yard that are consistent with the annual & monthly planFacilitate, design, develop, evaluate, & track training for employee growth & development Direct & manage plant operations for optimal production, recovery, quality, shipping, & receivingEnsure operating expenses are consistent with the facility budgetary & fiscal performance goals. Develop & control budgets & operating plansGenerate & maintain reports as required.Manage yard inventoryControl & manage labor overtime & minimize repair expensesEnsure compliance & safety, environmental, and personnel issues that may ariseProvides leadership & training to accomplish the company goals & objectivesOperate equipment when neededIncorporates shop floor organization & plant cleanliness among plant personnel QualificationsQUALIFICATIONS:
High school diplomaMinimum three years supervisory experienceExperience with ferrous & non-ferrous scrap metalsStrong written & verbal communication skillsWorking knowledge of Microsoft Word, Outlook, & ExcelWorking knowledge of budgets & financial statementsExcellent organizational & time management skillsExcellent team building, problem solving, & interpersonal skillsAbility to lead, develop, and motivate employeesTeam player dedicated to the success of the organizationAbility to make quick decisions in an ever-changing work environmentBackground with operations methods, process improvement programs & proceduresExperience working with Marketing, Transportation, as well as Transactions
