We are seeking a highly skilled and licensed Facility Manager to oversee the maintenance, repair, and operation of school facilities. This role requires expertise in electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems, ensuring a safe, efficient, and well-maintained learning environment for students and staff. The ideal candidate will be a proactive leader with strong technical knowledge, problem-solving abilities, and a commitment to upholding safety and compliance standards in an educational setting.
Pay: Up to $70,000.00/yr

401(k) – You become eligible to make personal contributions beginning the first of the month following 30 days of employment. Key Responsibilities:
Facility Maintenance & Operations Oversee the maintenance, repair, and installation of electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems across all school facilities. Ensure building infrastructure, including lighting, heating, cooling, plumbing, and emergency systems, is fully functional and up to code. Develop and implement preventative maintenance schedules to reduce downtime and costly emergency repairs. Monitor and manage building automation and energy management systems to maximize efficiency and cost savings. Safety, Compliance & Regulatory Standards Ensure all electrical, plumbing, and HVAC work complies with local, state, and federal codes as well as school district policies. Conduct regular inspections to identify and resolve safety hazards, ensuring a secure environment for students and staff. Maintain OSHA, fire safety, and ADA compliance standards for school facilities. Oversee water quality management, indoor air quality (IAQ), and other environmental safety measures. Leadership & Team Management Supervise a team of maintenance technicians, custodians, and contractors, ensuring efficient operations and work quality. Provide training on facility safety, emergency procedures, and equipment operation for maintenance staff. Coordinate with school administrators, district officials, and external vendors to prioritize and schedule facility projects. Emergency Response & Troubleshooting Respond promptly to facility-related emergencies, including power outages, plumbing failures, and HVAC malfunctions. Troubleshoot and diagnose complex issues related to electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems, ensuring rapid resolution. Develop and implement emergency preparedness plans to handle facility-related crises. Budgeting & Resource Management Manage facility maintenance budgets, ensuring cost-effective operations without compromising safety or performance. Recommend and oversee capital improvements, equipment upgrades, and energy efficiency initiatives. Maintain accurate records of repairs, maintenance activities, and regulatory compliance documentationExpectations:

Valid licenses in Electrical, Plumbing, and HVAC (strong preference for candidates holding all three certifications) 5 years of experience in facility management, preferably in an educational or commercial setting Extensive knowledge of building systems, maintenance operations, and safety regulations Experience managing maintenance teams and third-party contractors Strong troubleshooting skills for electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems Familiarity with building automation systems, energy management, and preventative maintenance planning Strong communication, organizational, and leadership skills Physical ability to lift heavy equipment, work in confined spaces, and perform hands-on repairs when necessaryThis position offers job stability, competitive salary, and the opportunity to make a direct impact on school operations by ensuring safe and efficient facilities.
