Job responsibilities include supervising employees, maintaining optimal guest experience, maintaining inventory, implementing equipment preventative maintenance schedule, operating a cash register, verifying reports and receipts, and daily closeout procedures. Other duties include preparing work schedules, approving time and leave requests, counseling and discipling employees, and other duties as assigned. Must be able to work a varied work schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays. Knowledge of bookkeeping procedures, buying items for resale, and managing business operations are preferred. Basic knowledge of the White River, trout fishing, and boat operation is also preferred. This position is governed by state and federal laws and agency/institution policy. Functions Supervises the work of a medium-sized service/maintenance staff by interviewing applicants, making hire or termination decisions, assigning and reviewing work, training, and evaluating the performance of incumbents. Coordinates facility activities with other departments and the general public and makes special arrangements for customers upon request. Maintains facility records and prepares reports on business activities, revenue projections, cost control, and inventory control. Orders and receives supplies and equipment based on projected facility usage and recommends prices for services or saleable items to superiors. Provides information to customers and the general public on facility services and functions. Arranges major maintenance and repairs for facility and equipment. Performs other duties as assigned. Dimensions None Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Knowledge of supervisory practices and procedures. Knowledge of inventory control, purchasing and procurement procedures, and customer service. Knowledge of bookkeeping principles. Ability to plan, organize, and oversee the work of subordinates and coordinate work activities. Ability to prepare reports and maintain records and files. Ability to greet customers and provide information concerning services and functions of the facility. Minimum Qualifications The formal education equivalent of an associate's degree in business, marketing, or related field; plus two years of experience in business, including one year of supervisory experience.
