THE POSITION
Would you describe your strengths as hardworking and reliable? If so, consider joining the Norristown State Hospital as a Facility Operations Supervisor. This position gives you the opportunity to showcase your unique skillset as you perform technical and administrative work in our Maintenance Department. If you have experience with overseeing building, grounds maintenance, and constructions trades, we need you on our team!
DESCRIPTION OF WORK
As a Facility Operations Supervisor, you will be tasked with a full-range of skilled supervisory and maintenance duties. This includes assigning and supervising daily work orders as well as recommending and implementing procedures, methods, materials, and tools to accomplish work. You will have the opportunity to share your knowledge with approximately six to seven staff members. All work is performed independently and reviewed through discussions and inspections by a higher-level manager. Effective communication is essential as you will be in constant contact with shift supervisors and management for assignments and scheduling regarding off-hours projects. Additional responsibilities include:

Work Schedule and Additional Information:
+ Full-time employment
+ Work hours are 2:00 PM to 10:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch. Work schedule may change based on operational need.
+ This position is subject to emergency call-in, travel, and overtime as needed.
+ Salary: In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY
QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
+ Two years of skilled trades work experience in commercial, industrial, multi-unit residential facilities, or utility plant operations; or
+ An equivalent combination of experience and training.
Special Requirements:
+ This position requires possession of an active motor vehicle license.
