Employment Status: **Permanent Full time** Union: **CUPE 855 Inside** Open To: **Internal/External Applicant(s)** Closing Date: **20/02/2025** Duration (if temporary): **N/A** Job Title **Facility Projects Delivery Coordinator** Salary $37.44 – $40.50 (2025) Reports To Supervisor, Capital Projects Delivery Department Community Services Location Lindsay, City of Kawartha Lakes Hours Full Time, Normal working hours are 35 hours per week; Must be willing to work in response to service needs which may include evenings, nights or weekends; General office environment with some travel throughout the City of Kawartha Lakes, in accordance with job requirements. Other Ability to exert up to 4.4 kg (10 lbs) of force occasionally and/or a negligible amount of force frequently to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects. Involves sitting most of the time, but may involve walking or standing for brief periods of time **Job Description** + Assist in the contract administration and preparation of capital projects including projections, requirements, designs and specifications, estimates, cost control, interim and final reporting + Assist with the preparation of design and contract documents according to City policies and procedures for contracting services, and in alignment with industry standards + Support assessment of cost estimates through analysis and outside cost consulting for review with management + Responsible for financial control of assigned projects, including documentation and tracking of expenditures and change orders, administer hold backs, resolve deficiencies and preparation of financial reports and closeout reconciliations + Work with project teams comprising of consultants, contractors, City staff and client representatives + Collaborate with staff in all departments to ensure continuity of services, providing progress and status reports + Coordinate and perform post contract performance evaluations + Ensure compliance with the Ontario Fire Code, Building Code, and City property standards, and all applicable legal requirements as may apply to the range of City building and occupancy types, and operations + Prepare and maintain project and building/property related documentation; to support as-is record keeping for asset management and maintenance purposes, and ensure project records are kept supporting the audit standard + Assist with preparation of City asset management planning, including development of annual and multi-year capital plans + Assist in the preparation of technical drawings using AutoCAD, estimate costs, and preparing reports for management + Prepare and maintain comprehensive documentation related to hazard identification, risk assessment/reduction, and remediation action + Ensure compliance with the legal requirements of applicable external agencies (i.e. Parks Canada, Conservation Authorities) **Skills/Education Required** + Post-secondary diploma in Architecture, Construction, Engineering, Facility Management, Project Management, Landscape Architecture or a related field + Minimum three (3) years of related progressive experience, preferably in a building/ facility development and maintenance municipal environment, with coordinating multiple capital projects of moderate complexity + Strong working knowledge of building science, building envelope construction, building electrical, mechanical systems, water/wastewater systems and landscape/park related construction + Demonstrated experience in the development of facility requirements programs, building/facility design and specification, and cost analysis/estimation + Knowledge of Ontario building-related regulations, codes, and standards, including the Building Code, Fire Code, Electrical Safety Code, and regulations under the _Occupational Health and Safety Act (OHSA)_ + Experience with the following is considered an asset:oPlanning and delivering energy management projects and projects to replace/upgrade building mechanical and electrical systems + Planning and delivering projects involving heritage buildings + Application of sustainable building practices such as Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) standards + Planning and delivering projects related to park and trail facilities and amenities + Demonstrated ability to oversee the performance of consultants, contractors, and service providers, in accordance with contract law and industry standards + Demonstrated knowledge of Asset Management Planning + Working knowledge of budgeting, purchasing/procurement, and construction contract administration standards and practice + Demonstrated time-management skills with the ability to prioritize workloads and meet deadlines with minimal supervision + Possess and demonstrate the knowledge, skills and personal attributes as described in the key performance competencies outlined below + Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office suite of applications, audio/video conferencing, AutoCAD, the internet and any other related software + Possess and maintain a valid Ontario Class “G” Driver’s Licence or the ability to frequently attend work related activities at various sites within the municipality or at other sites within Ontario + Upon a conditional offer of employment, a Criminal Record Check will be required **Applicants must be prepared for skill testing.** Back (https://tre.tbe.taleo.net/tre01/ats/careers/v2/searchResults?org=CITYOFKA&cws=37)
