Facility Security Officer

The position is contingent upon contract award. Responsibilities Use of security databases, such as, DISS, SIMS. Familiarization with DoD guidance, 32, CFR, Part 117, National Industrial Security Program Operating Manual, Security Classification Guides (SCGs), DD254s, and additional access caveats, such as SAP, SCI, CNWDI, RD, FRD, and NATO. Confirms all security issues and incidents are recorded and reported to the client’s security office and the Defense Counterintelligence and Security Agency (DCSA) Advise personnel of their reporting requirements, both personal/administrative and compliance/incident-related reports. Handle sensitive inquires made by internal and external customers and employees. Provides direction and guidance to all employees and visitors for compliance with company, U.S. Government and Foreign Government facility security requirements. Assists and conducts internal investigations into any criminal concern an employee may be involved in regardless of reporting status as directed by HR and program leadership. Facilitates proper reporting and investigations for any known or suspected misuse or loss of client owned equipment, credentials, Personal Identifying Information (PII), or potential integrity concerns. Interfaces and coordinates with Defense Counterintelligence and Security Agency and/or other Cognizant Security Agencies for requesting information, security inspections, violations and abnormal events relevant to the NISP. Coordinates security processes necessary for implementing applicable requirements of the 32 CFR Part 117, DoD and related Federal regulations. Reviews DD254s at all levels (from proposal to close-out) to identify security requirements, then assure compliance. Perform other job duties as needed. Qualifications Education/Experience: One year related experience may be substituted for one year of education, if degree is required. Bachelor's degree in related field preferred. Minimum of five years’ experience as a FSO which includes at least two years’ experience operating in a Sensitive Compartmented Information Facility (SCIF) environment; Certificates/Licenses: Must be a United States Citizen TS/SCI Clearance: Active Top Secret clearance with SCI eligibility Business Acumen : Working knowledge of the Defense Information System for Security (DISS) Working knowledge of the Security Information Management System (SIMS) Working knowledge of DoD Personnel Security procedures including but not limited to Authorization for Smart Card Login Access (ASCL), Trusted Associate Sponsorship System (TASS), Nation Industrial Security Program (NISP) Central Access Information Security System (NCAISS) and Synchronized Pre-deployment Operational Tracker (SPOT) Skills and Technology Used: Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
