This highly visible Business Development Director position will be focused on prospecting and closing new Facility Solutions products business to Healthcare Vertical and large Commercial Consortium members within regionally defined territory (East or West US).

What you’ll be doing:

Aggressive pursuit of targeted Strategic Account opportunities worth $500K+ within assigned geographic region.     Execution of business development sales strategies to move targeted prospects to active opportunities, while positioning Staples Facility Solutions as the preferred solution for decision makers and influencers of target opportunities.       When appropriate engage, effectively collaborate with Key Account Mangers, Territory Account Managers,  Account Executives and Business Development Executives on Strategic Account opportunities in order to secure contractual relationships with customers and ultimately secure the business.           Provide guidance on RFPs/RFIs; pricing strategy; legal agreements and CPE’s. Mfg./Vendor questions and support. Support deviations for new/existing customers at GPO, IDN, Commercial Consortiums and local levels when needed.Ensure Mfgs. are showing new products           Customer engagement: Build customer facing presentationsPrepare pricing proposalsEngage in customer meetings/presentations when necessary    When approved; attend and work National trade shows and conferences.          Manage large assigned GPO’s and IDN’s. Pricing, deviated costs, maintenance, business reviews, renewals, etc.Support/train local AE’s/SAL’s supporting the IDN’s local sites.  Responsible for generating $2M in new business first year and $4M each year thereafter

What’s needed- Basic Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience3+ years related experience working with large complex sales opportunities

Proven industry experience and connections Practical knowledge of full Office Suite product
